Play Home Theater VR on PC

Home Theater VR is an advanced video player and VR home cinema for 3D, 2D, 180°, 360°, web streams, and more.

Watch videos from your phone or memory card, network streams, and online streaming sites such as Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc. You can also stream videos from your computer, or stream your entire desktop. A companion app for PC is provided to make streaming from your computer quick and easy.

Designed for wide compatibility with nearly any Android phone or VR headset. There are no specific VR requirements, so it doesn't matter if your phone isn't compatible with Daydream/GearVR/Cardboard/etc.
Adjust the advanced options to tailor the app for the best performance on your phone and prevent overheating or excessive battery drain.

Choose from 22 different theaters with a wide range of styles. There are indoor theaters, outdoor theaters, immersive 360°/180° theaters, a black void theater, and even a simple 2D full-screen theater. You can change theaters while a video is playing.

Media compatibility
Compatibility with video/audio codecs and containers varies by device, but the most common ones should be compatible with most Android devices. More info can be found on the in-app help screen.
Compatible with most common VR video types, including HSBS (left/right 3D), HOU (top/bottom 3D), and equirectangular 360°/180°.

Controller support and UI
Common game controllers are supported, such as XBOX, MOGA, mini VR remotes, etc.
You can fully control the app without taking your headset off. In the VR menu, you can "click" by using a game controller button, or gaze control with variable time, or by tapping the screen. There is also a standard touch based menu system.

Flexible head tracking options
VR head tracking is controlled primarily by the gyroscope sensor. For phones that don't have a gyroscope, you can use the accelerometer option.
If screen drift is a problem for your phone, there is an auto center option that will return the view to center at a regular interval, or you can lock the view in place.
You can manually re-center the view at any time. This can be useful to put the screen right where you want it, even if you're reclining in a chair, or laying on your back looking straight up.

Playback quality and graphics options
This app offers a full range of settings to achieve the best possible performance on almost any Android device. Settings include IPD adjustment, zoom, brightness, anti-aliasing, V-sync, texture quality, video orientation, auto center, app performance level, and more. There are FPS readouts for troubleshooting, and an alignment guide to help you position the phone in a headset. In short, it's loaded with features to give you the best possible VR experience.

Detailed support documents and tutorials
The in-app help screen includes tips for using the app and solving problems, and links to additional troubleshooting information, tutorials, related downloads, and how to contact me for direct support.

Note: This is a paid app, but it has a trial mode that will never force you to make a purchase to continue testing it. After running for five minutes, videos will stop and most app settings will reset. Just tap "continue trial" to keep using it in trial mode. You can do this as many times as you need to. All features and options are available in trial mode, except saving favorite URLs.
Please test that your phone can play videos to your satisfaction before purchasing.

This app will continue to be updated over time as i add features, fix bugs, and make improvements. Feel free to contact me using the links on the help screen if you have any questions, issues, or feature requests.
