PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: this app gives the dictionary definitions of Chinese words in the text, not whole sentence translations (although there is a button to quickly show the text in Google Translate popup). Therefore, this app is suited to those who are studying Chinese rather than those who are looking for a language-survival tool.

PLEASE READ THIS ALSO: when first using this app, it's tempting to try it out by pointing the camera at Chinese text on a computer screen. However, this is NOT supported because the Moire effect means the image is distorted in a way that cannot be used by the recognition engine. So please point the camera at Chinese text in the real world (e.g. in books) or load images (such as screenshots captured by the device).
