How to use

Chatable is very easy to use. All you have to do is place your smartphone on the table, point it at who's talking, and press the microphone button. There are two sliders that you can move to suit your hearing requirements: one to reduce background noise and another to amplify the speech.

Our recommended way to use the app is with Noise Cancelling Headphones like Bose QC20s (buds) or QC 35s (over the ears). However, any regular earbuds or headphones will do fine.

If you have a Cochlear Implant, the app may be used as a remote microphone, like a roger pen.

If you wear a hearing aid, depending on your hearing impairment, you may find this app gives you a superior performance for hearing conversation than a hearing aid. This will mean taking out your hearing aid and putting on some headphones or earbuds.
