What is Hol?

Hol is a calorie counter and sustainable weight loss plan. Each food in Hol has a color (greens, yellows, and reds). Eating more greens will keep you full and more likely to eat less calories. Over time, this results in weight loss, with less effort.

What do the colors mean?

Hol Colors (greens, yellows, and reds) indicates the calorie density of the food (with green being lower).

Green foods have more fiber and water, giving them less calories while keeping you full. Eating green foods is also healthy eating: fruits, vegetables, salad greens, and other foods packed with nutrients. These foods keep you full, with less calories!

How do I find green foods I like?

You can try our food search and barcode scanner to find green foods you like. Add them as saved meals for quicker access!

Hol Pro also includes recipes! Lots of recipes can secretly be red (high calorie density). Hol recipes are color labeled, making sure you are more full with less calories, for easier weight loss.

What happens when you've filled your calorie budget, but you're still hungry?

Have you ever tracked your calories but ended up feeling hungry? When you limit calories, you might think you have to eat less food. But what if you could eat different foods, ones that have more fiber, water, and nutrients? That’s what happens when you eat green foods! You’ll get to keep eating, you’ll be getting more fiber, water and nutrients, and less calories, for easier weight loss. It’s more than a calorie counter!

Can I actually lose weight without being hungry?
