Also known by its initials, TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic)® is based upon positive psychology and is described graphically as an upward pointing triangle with its roles of Creator, Challenger and Coach. TED* is used as a tool in professional coaching, therapy, positive team development, communication training, and cultural change models. The Empowerment Dynamic’s underlying frameworks point the way toward an upgrade in the “human operating system” and is applicable to any level of human system.

The Empowerment Dynamic serves as a positive alternative to Dr. Stephan Karpman’s drama triangle and its roles of Victim, Persecutor and Rescuer. The drama triangle illuminates dysfunctional relationships in discord, while The Empowerment Dynamic describes relationships that are outcome-focused, positive, constructive, co-creative and empowering.
