The sheriff's office has 155 employees, 69 of whom are sworn deputy sheriffs. Seven members of the sheriff's office command staff are graduates of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Operating from the W.S. "Buck" Jones Administration building, the sheriff's office maintains an around-the-clock law enforcement presence in rural Lee County.
