The Sofar Trident mobile app features intuitive vehicle controls and a wide variety of telemetry and navigation feedback (compass, depth, temperature, gyro/accelerometer, internal barometer, battery usage, video storage space). The app also includes advanced controls to maintain heading and depth, vehicle software/firmware update tools, and plans for improvements and new features.

Android 5.1 and higher, though 7.0+ is ideal
Supports 802.11n WiFi protocol

Recommended “nice-to-have” device features:
Dual band wifi (2.4Ghz or 5Ghz) - WiFi MIMO support
Has built-in GPS
7"+ screen with 720p+ resolution
Bright screen with non-glare
Long battery life (at least 3 hours while using WiFi and on maximum brightness)

We strongly recommend disabling mobile data and bluetooth to improve the piloting experience and video streaming quality.
