About the creator
Dr. Julian Chan, co-founder and CEO of StrictlyApp, obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2010. He was subsequently a research chemist at UC Berkeley (USA, 2010-2012) and IBM Almaden (USA, 2012-2014) before becoming a chemistry professor at University of Ottawa (Canada, 2015-2019). In Oct 2019, Dr. Chan departed from academia and established StrictlyApp.

Organic Chemistry is notorious for being difficult. Worse still, it is unique in that you can spend countless hours learning organic chemistry and still score badly on your chemistry test. How to use this Quiz App
“Organic Chemistry I” is geared toward a 1st-semester undergraduate organic chemistry course and covers topics on Structure (Part A) and Reactivity (Part B). If you are a new user, I recommend doing chemistry problems in numerical order and the App will keep track of your progress. Later on, you can go to Settings and turn on “Shuffle Mode” to mix things up. Think of this as your free organic chemistry course or organic chemistry quiz. And if you are already competent in the subject, you can use the app as an organic chemistry game to refresh different concepts.

Coming in Summer 2020
Our sequel app, “Organic Chemistry II”, is set to launch this summer and will offer coverage of chemical concepts such as nucleophilic substitution, E1/E2 elimination reactions, NMR, and carbonyl chemistry.
