HuntFishNY is the official New York State Department of Environmental Conservation app that provides our sportsmen/women with a simple, user friendly way to display their sporting license and/or privileges as well as a method to report the harvest of a deer, bear or a turkey immediately while afield. It is a legal requirement for a hunter to report all deer, bear and turkey takes within 7 days of harvesting. This information is critical to wildlife management, and is used to determine the overall health of the species population, and in setting future hunting seasons.

App features include:

• Provides instant, mobile access to a customer's sporting licenses, privileges, and permits
• Quick and easy creation of new Game Harvest Reports
• Ability to view current and past harvest reports and current, active licenses
• Smart filtering for collecting town, county, and WMU of harvest data, as well as season and method of take info
• Share harvest reports with friends and followers on Facebook
• Send feedback to DEC staff and access NYSDEC resources from the field
