Hello everyone. My name’s Koopa and I’m here with Streamer Academy to tell you the best times to stream on Twitch. Pick a time that works for you. Your schedule is the most important thing and that’s key. You have your own life, you have your own work schedule, and you can’t just start streaming on Twitch. It’s not just going to be this means to an end, where it’s going to be … You’re going to be able to make all this money randomly to pay for your bills. So your schedule comes first. But you do need to make sure that you are streaming at an okay time. You may have to readjust your schedule just a little bit or you might have to just not sleep, which is a joke. Make sure you still sleep.
Best times for me that I’ve noticed is somewhere around like at 3 p.m. Central Time. Then I try and end … I don’t like streaming later than like 11 p.m. Central. Once you pick a time, whether it’s in the middle of the night or whether it’s in like the afternoon or in the evening, try and stay consistent with it so that your followers and these viewers that are going to be finding your stream, they can have consistency as well within their day when they find you. When they find you, they’re finding you for a reason because that’s the time at their day when they have some open spots as well.
Another big thing to realize is what other streamers are streaming this game and at what time? Let’s take a look at that. Here’s a good example of what the Clash Royale directory looks like at 3 p.m. Central Time. We’ve got [Trimax 00:01:34], [Phonecats 00:01:35], and [MillenniumTVClash 00:01:39] doing their streams. There, as you can see, at this time you’ve got a lot of people streaming under the Clash Royale directory. Not only do these guys get awesome viewership at this time but it also brings in a lot of viewership for these other smaller streamers. That’s how they can get followers. That’s how these guys are going to be able to start to build their following. Whether it’s their first stream or the stream that they’ve been doing for a little bit, they rely on these guys to bring in this viewership to keep almost 10,000 people in the Clash Royale directory.

You might not necessarily want to start your stream at the exact same time. If you are an English speaking Clash Royale streamer and you get like a few hundred to maybe even like 500 or so viewers as Phonecats, you’d want to start somewhere around the 4 to 5 p.m. Central timeframe, when he’s getting towards wrapping it up and he’s getting ready to transition to another game. Wherever he transitions to, whatever directory, anyone that still wants to watch Clash Royale, those viewers will then trickle to the next English speaking streamer, which might be … It’s Logan here. If he’s still streaming, then his viewership is going to go up. He might gain like 50% additional viewership after Phonecats is complete. These are things that you need to pay attention to when you’re picking your times and when you’re going to be streaming if you’re really going to want to maximize the time that you’re actually streaming on Twitch.
One last quick point. Make sure you understand the best time to stream with how much traffic is going through the directory of the game you’re playing at the appropriate time. At like 4 in the morning, there’s probably not that many people streaming the game that you play or as many as, let’s say, around like after school gets out or after work gets out. Those are the times you’re going to want to start to stream. Those are the times you’re going to want to really grind the hours and try to get as many followers as you can.
