BLACKPINK THE GAME Gacha Guide: Rates, Banners, Currencies, and more
BLACKPINK THE GAME is a musical simulation game wherein players can take up the job of a manager for the official BLACKPINK K-pop group. The game allows players to draw in exclusive photocards for their favorite members of the group via an innate gacha system. It’s imperative to understand the mechanics involved for smooth operations long term. This gacha guide will explain everything from basic drawing mechanics and different summoning banners to even more intricate details, such as summoning rates and the pity system.
The Gacha System of BLACKPINK THE GAME
BLACKPINK THE GAME offers a distinctive gacha system through which players can acquire the much-wanted photocards of their favorite band members. The game provides them through select summoning banners, some of which change over time and others which are permanent. All photocards are assigned a star-based rarity, ranging from 5-Stars to 1-Star. The higher the rarity of the photocard, the rarer they are to summon and obtain.
For more precise information, here are the gacha rates on every rate-up and premium banner:
- 5-Star photocard – 0.5% probability
- 4-Star photocard – 13% probability
- 3-Star photocard – 82% probability
- 2-Star photocard – 0% probability
- 1-Star photocard – 0% probability
Here are the gacha rates on the normal banner:
- 5-Star photocard – 0.3% probability
- 4-Star photocard – 4% probability
- 3-Star photocard – 10% probability
- 2-Star photocard – 20% probability
- 1-Star photocard – 65.8% probability
These probabilities are fixed for all banners unless mentioned otherwise.
The Mileage System
Like most gacha games, BLACKPINK THE GAME also has an in-built pity system that is called “Mileage” in official game terms. Consider it like a fail-safe that guarantees you a 5-star photocard if you were unlucky in your pulls. Mileage only builds up when you summon on the event and premium gacha banners and not on the normal banner. 1 summon is equal to 1 mileage point. Mileage points can be used in the Mileage shop to get your desired photocards. Once you avail them, they will disappear. Otherwise, they will continue to build up without an expiry date.
BLACKPINK THE GAME: Different Types of Summoning Banners
As we mentioned previously, multiple summoning banners exist in BLACKPINK THE GAME. Each one is unique on its end and offers a different set of photocards for the players to choose from. You must learn about them and understand the mechanics behind these banners. At the time of writing, there exists a total of 3 distinct banners. Let’s study more about them:
- Event Summoning Gacha – These types of summoning banners offer certain photocards at a rate-up. If players manage to summon a 5-Star photocard, there will be a 50% chance of it being the featured one. These banners are only available for a short duration and change over time to introduce new photo cards. Players can use their Gacha tickets or Diamonds to summon on this banner. A single pull costs 250 diamonds/1 Gacha ticket, while a 10-pull costs 2500 diamonds/10 gacha tickets.
- Premium Gacha – This is a permanent gacha banner that offers players 3-Star to 5-Star photo cards. It encompasses all available photocards in the game. Players can use their Gacha tickets or Diamonds to summon on this banner. A single pull costs 250 diamonds/1 Gacha ticket, while a 10-pull costs 2500 diamonds/10 gacha tickets.
- Normal Gacha – This is a permanent gacha banner that offers players 1-Star to 5-Star photo cards. It encompasses all available photocards in the game. Players can only use their Gold to summon on this banner. A single pull costs 10,000 Gold, while a 10-pull costs 100,000 Gold.
All Gacha Currencies in BLACKPINK THE GAME
While you’re in the frenzy of summoning, do not forget about the main currencies that allow you to do so in the first place. The core currencies are as follows:
- Gacha Tickets – Gacha tickets are the core currency used to summon event gacha and premium gacha. Players can get them from tasks, events, and other avenues of the game. They can also be purchased via the Mileage store. These tickets will work on all banners outside of normal gacha. 1 Gacha ticket equates to a single pull and contributes 1 point towards the mileage.
- Diamonds – Diamonds are the premium currency in BLACKPINK THE GAME. Players can get them from scheduled stages, tasks, events, and other avenues of the game. They can also be purchased via in-game microtransactions. Diamonds will work on all banners outside of normal gacha. 250 Diamonds equates to a single pull and contributes 1 point towards the mileage.
- Gold – Gold is the basic currency in BLACKPINK THE GAME. Players can get Gold from scheduled stages, tasks, events, and other avenues of the game. Gold will work only on the normal gacha banner. 10,000 Gold equates to a single pull but does not contribute towards the Mileage.
