Bullet Echo Beginners Guide – Use These Tips to Take Your Gameplay to the Next Level
Bullet Echo, the infamous top-down shooter title is breaking all the barriers of multiplayer PvP-oriented bullet hell RPGs with its unique arcade atmosphere and stunning visuals that look sharp and crisp to view. The game is renowned for being the undoubted king of the genre and has even invented some of the core game mechanics such as stealth, team-up, and shoot-to-win gameplay style. Bullet Echo is available as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
In this guide for Bullet Echo, we will be providing some of our personally observed tips for new players who are joining the game in 2023. With the latest updates, a slew of cosmetic changes has been added to the game, but the base gameplay mechanics remain the same. Let’s deep dive into this guide for the world-famous bullet-hell mania we all love and enjoy.
Choosing the Right Hero
If you’re a die-hard fan of Bullet Echo, there are chances you must be aware of the diverse variety of heroes that are available to be unlocked and rock ‘n’ roll with. While each of the heroes looks different design-wise and is required to play the game, there exist multiple differences between all of them which makes them unique mechanically. Yes, each of them exhibits different gameplay styles which might suit you or not. This is what we call “adaptability” in games like these. Some gameplay styles suit better for some players while others may suit another set of players. A good mix of different gameplay styles makes Bullet Echo an innovative and unique project.
We would recommend trying out each of the heroes in live matches to be able to gauge whether you like it or not. This is a tried and tested method as many players have found their main characters using this process. Once you find a hero likable and attractive to play, it will be much easier to use them in matches as you will learn to play them in and out. Keep in mind, some heroes, like Mythical Rarity one’s, are tougher to acquire but they possess some unique abilities that are powerful, unlike any other hero in the game.
Pick-Ups Decide Your Progress
Bullet Echo is a bullet-hell action RPG that makes use of different styles of weapons for you to use in-game. You will be assigned a basic pistol with infinite ammo at the start of the game each round. Sadly, this is of very low quality and will not take you far into the game due to its less firing speed, less damage, and less precision. One of the best ways to advance further in the game is by ditching the initial pistol and replacing it with a higher-quality weapon. These weapons are provided to players randomly in the form of pick-ups. Keep in mind that pick-ups can be of 5 different kinds- Health-Abilities, Armour, Ammo, Ability Recharges and Weapon Mods.
Each of them is crucial to your progress but the main ones are usually armor and weapon mods, due to the sheer difference they can bring in surviving and dealing with the enemies efficiently, respectively.
Master the Movements and Win the Game!
Bullet Echo is a movement-based shooter, and hence, having a stable movement can help you get much farther. Your movement defines your control over your hero as well. In competitive PvP game modes, you will be required to play very smartly against your enemies as they will be able to see your footprints. Avoid doing too much movement around the map as it will leave a trail behind for enemies to follow and execute you. Remember, it only takes seconds for a load of bullets to pierce your armor and end your game. Take calculated decisions instead of giving in to haste and anxiety.
The Centre is the Most Crowded Area
In Bullet Echo, it’s observed by a lot of the community members that the centremost area is coincidentally also the most crowded one. This is simply due to the shape of the map, where people eventually reach the center in whichever direction they choose to go for a long duration. However, the more the enemies, the more dangerous it gets.
As we have said before, you need to separate yourself from the crowd to increase your chances of survival in this Bullet Hell mania. Sadly, this advice does not always hold true as some of the more powerful pick-ups are also dropped at the centre of the map. Hence, you have to gauge the situation according to your current game. If you hear a lot of gunfight noises from the centre, simply stay at the corner edge of the map to avoid a direct shootout. Proceed to go to the centre after it has calmed down relatively.
Teamwork is the Key to Success
As with games like Bullet Echo, your individual success is great but the success of your team increases your overall chances of winning. Playing with a skilled group of friends who are co-ordinated with you can significantly increase your chances of winning. You can divide and assign different roles to each team member. For example, one player can be the main DPS, one can be a frontliner, and another one can be a scout for the team that has their eyes pried open for potential powerful pick-ups.
