In this beginner guide for Eternal Evolution, we will be taking an in-depth look at the various basic systems presented to us by the game which are required to make progress. A lot of content and QOL features of Eternal Evolution are locked behind such progression walls which makes it necessary for all types of players to climb to the highest level possible to unlock more content for more resources. Keep in mind that this beginner’s guide will be presented in a very layman manner, hence, if you’re a veteran of the genre, you might find some of the terms repetitive as Eternal Evolution copies many systems from other similar games.
We highly recommend players make their own decisions by taking reference from this guide as Eternal Evolution is still very much a new game with many strategies yet to be discovered. Further, players might find discrepancies as the game progresses and changes some of its features through updates. Here are the different sub-topics being covered in this guide:
- Understanding the Summoning System
- Understanding the Battle System and Combat Mechanics
- Understanding the Different Currencies
- How to make heroes stronger?
- Missions Guide
Basics of Summoning System
Eternal Evolution is a gacha game for starters. It means there is a probability assigned to each hero that you want. Almost all heroes are available from the gacha system from different summoning banners. Termed as “Recruitment Centre” in the official in-game terminology, players will be able to unlock this building after completing the tutorial main story stage 1-5. It is extremely important to understand the basics of this system. The best way to understand the basics is to first understand that there exist different rarities of heroes. These are called “base rarity” and should not be confused with “potential rarity”.
Here are the different rarities of heroes and their rates:
- SSS Grade Heroes – No probability
- Elite Grade Heroes – 5% Probability of being summoned
- Rare Grade Heroes – 53% Probability of being summoned
- Common Grade Heroes – 42% Probability of being summoned
Players can obtain these Sinners from the different summoning banners available in the Arrest section. Here are the different summoning banners new players will see when they first go to the Arrest menu:
- Limited Summoning Banner – In this special summoning banner, players can summon SSS-Common rarity of heroes at differing probabilities. This banner contains all Elite heroes and features 1 limited-time SSS hero. Players are guaranteed an Elite hero upon doing 30 summons on this banner. Players are guaranteed an SSS-rarity hero upon doing 60 summons on this banner. There is currently no other way to summon for SSS rarity of heroes other than Limited Summoning Banners. Limited Recruitment Cards are needed to summon on this banner. The features SSS rarity hero changes every time and this is a rotational banner.
- Basic Summoning Banner – In this summoning banner, players can summon Elite-Common rarity of heroes at differing probabilities. This banner contains all Elite heroes. Players are guaranteed to summon 1 Elite/Rare hero after doing 10 summons on the banner. Recruitment Cards are needed to summon on this banner.
- Advanced Summoning Banner – In this summoning banner, players can summon Elite-Common rarity of heroes at differing probabilities. This banner contains all Elite heroes. Players are guaranteed to summon 1 Elite rarity hero after doing 30 summons on the banner. Advanced Recruitment Cards are needed to summon on this banner.
- Friendship Summoning Banner – In this summoning banner, players can summon Elite-Common rarity of heroes at differing probabilities. This banner contains all Elite heroes. The rates of summoning Elite rarity heroes are lowered to 2.5% on this banner. Friendship Points are needed to summon on this banner
Here is a brief overview of the different summoning currencies used:
- Limited Recruitment Card – A consumable material that is used to summon heroes in the Limited Recruitment Summoning banners. Players can get these cards from completing certain events or by purchasing directly via microtransactions.
- Recruitment Card – A consumable material that is used to summon heroes in the Basic Recruitment Summoning banners. Players can get this currency from completing different missions such as daily missions, stage missions, and event missions.
- Advanced Recruitment Card – A consumable material that is used to summon heroes in the Advanced Recruitment Summoning banners. Players can get this currency from different stage missions, in-game content, and events.
- Friendship Points – A consumable material that is used to summon heroes in the Friendship Point Summoning banners. Players can send and receive friendship points from their friend list.
Understanding the Combat Mechanics
Coming to the combat mechanics of Eternal Evolution, it is quite simple to understand but at the same time quite complex depending on which level you are at. To clear with the basics, Eternal Evolution is an Idle RPG where players can expect quick and short battles without consuming too much time and energy. The entire battlefield can be seen from 1 single screen and all the enemies can also be seen before starting the battle. Players are required to make the formation of 5 unique heroes in 5 different positions – 2 in the frontline, 1 in middle, and 2 in the backline. One of the best aspects of an idle RPG is that the game already defines the total power level of your team which you can compare to the power level of the enemy team. Chances are that if you’re team’s total battle power is higher than that of the enemy, then you will easily win the battle. Furthermore, players also need to have focus on having the right class of heroes in the right position. For example, Tank class heroes should be placed in the front while DPS/Assassin class heroes should be placed in the backline.
During the battles, your heroes will move automatically and attack enemies depending on their proximity and attack range. Naturally, the melee heroes will move to the front even if they are placed in the back to attack enemies. Players do not have much control over their heroes except their ultimate abilities. Players can cast these ultimate abilities by dragging and dropping them for maximum efficiency. The hero icons will light up once their ultimate abilities are ready to be used. Players gain energy for using their ultimate abilities when they get kills or assist on kills. Apart from using hero’s skills, players are also required to assign a particular Commander for the team and up to 3 different Divine Equipment’s. One of the best features of Eternal Evolution might be its quality-of-life optimizations for the game’s core audience – the casual gamers. Players are given an option to automatically continue through the main story stages without worrying about clicking constantly to move to the next stage. This continues until and unless players unlock new content or encounter an animated cut scene of the story. Your general 2X Battle Speed and Auto-Battle mode are also available for the player’s efficiency. Play Eternal Evolution on your PC or mobile without downloads! Understanding the Different Currencies
Unlike a major chunk of idle games, Eternal Evolution does not have any major currency bifurcations and only has a limited amount of currencies. This is good for new players who are new to the genre. Having a core understanding of how these currencies work and are used is going to affect your pace of progression, especially in the early to mid-game. In the summoning section, we have already covered the currencies used there. Here are the 3 major currencies that are used in Eternal Evolution on a general basis:
- Gold
- Diamond
- Soul Rubellite
Gold – Gold is going to be one of the most important resources and the one which will be abundant in great volumes. This is due to the fact that Gold is required in almost all processes related to progression. The developers understand this problem and offer multiple ways to offer you Gold. Players can acquire Gold from the AFK resources and the amount varies according to how far you have progressed in the main story. Majorly, Gold is used for leveling up heroes, forging equipment, and buying other resources from the Shop.
Diamond – Beautifully crafted diamonds evacuated from the depths of landmass. Diamonds are the premium currency of Eternal evolution and are available quite abundantly in the early stages of the game. They are primarily used for making summons on the Basic Recruitment Banner at the cost of 2700 Diamonds for 10 summons. Sometimes, a limited deal might also pop up offering a certain amount of limited recruitment tickets that can be bought with Diamonds. They are primarily available through completing main story stages, completing daily missions, stage missions, compensation rewards, event rewards, and Soul Mine exploration.
Soul Rubellite – As Eternal Evolution is an idle game; the concept of energy or stamina does not exist to gatekeep players into completing the entire game within a few weeks. However, this is where Soul Rubellite comes into play. This is a special currency that is required to break through the level limit of the heroes and is required in huge quantities the higher you want to level up your heroes. Players can get Soul Rubellite through AFK rewards, stage missions, daily missions, and Soul Rubellite Mine dungeon which can be cleared once per day.
Hero Upgrading Processes
If you ever feel like you are stuck in any part of the game, always make sure that you have your heroes as strong as possible according to your current level. One of the best ways to progress through the main story stages is to make sure you have a higher battle power than the enemies. Here are the different methods by which you can empower your heroes to their maximum potential:
- Level Up
- Evolution
- Talent
- Equipment
Level Up – Levelling Up your heroes is going to be the prime concern for players who are starting out their journey in Eternal Evolution. True to the word, level up literally means leveling up your heroes to a new level which is much stronger than before. Leveling up directly increases the base stats of your heroes. By base stats, we mean Attack, Defense, and Health Points. These base stats affect the total battle power of your formation. Just a slight tip from us, do not focus on multiple heroes at the same time. Only focus on your current heroes that are included in your formation.
Evolution – Evolution is the process by which players can easily increase the “current rarity” of their heroes and in turn, increases their base stats as well. This is not to be confused with the “base rarity” of the hero itself which we talked about during the Summoning system basics. Evolution is equally important as it increases the base stats of your heroes and unlocks their Talent trees as well. Players can use “Quick Evolution” which is a great QOL feature added in Eternal Evolution. The basic concept is that players need to merge their targeted hero with another hero of the same rarity to evolve it to the next rarity.
Talent tree – The Talent tree is a great addition to the game. Each hero has access to their own talent trees. Talent trees directly increase the base stats of the heroes along with increasing the skill levels of their heroes. It is a great way to customize the abilities of your heroes as each skill can unlock an additional effect through Talents.
Equipment – Equipment’s are one of the most important features to use on your heroes to directly increase their stats. Keep in mind that each hero can equip 6 different pieces of equipment – Helmet, Weapon, Body Cover, Ring, Necklace, and Boots. Each piece of equipment can have either Flat stats or Percentage based stats. Each piece of equipment has a fixed star value and rarity. The higher the star value of the equipment, the higher will be the base stat values. The higher the rarity of the equipment, the higher will be the number of substats present on the equipment. Equipment can also further be leveled up using the Forge system.
