Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics

HEIR OF LIGHT Eclipse is an Idle game that makes use of the real-time battling system as the main derivative of doing combat. Players can create a solid formation of different characters, known as “Servants” in the official game terminology. Servants come in different rarities, and factions, and fulfill certain roles in any team. A balanced team approach works beautifully up to a certain point in the adventure mode, but it starts to fall off in higher-level content as discussed by veterans of the HEIR OF LIGHT Eclipse community. To counter, players will be required to make Faction-specific teams to make use of the Faction buffs given to Servants of a particular faction. The roles of Servants are as follows:

• Warrior – These Servants are generally well-endowed in the HP, Defense, and Attack departments when it comes to stats. They are good to use in the frontline and can be considered as an all-rounder. 
• Tank – These Servants are well-endowed in the HP and Defense department, aiding to their role as the titular damage soaker for the team. They are also usually sent to the frontlines to protect squishy allies.

• Mage – These Servants are well-endowed in the Magical Attack, Speed, Critical Hit Rate, and Critical Hit Damage departments when it comes to stats. Just like Rangers, these Servants can also have a huge DPS output and are usually placed in the backline.
• Support – These Servants are well-endowed in the HP, Defense, and Magical Attack departments when it comes to stats. They are also placed in the backline to support the squishy DPS servants.

One more thing to keep in mind is that the gameplay is fully automated outside of the player’s ability to only use the ultimate ability of their Servants. Players can take a brief look at the enemy team composition and devise strategies in the team formations to counter them. One such strategy is to simply take Servants from the Faction that is stronger than the opponent’s Faction.

Much like every other hero collector on the mobile market, HEIR OF LIGHT Eclipse also has an innate gacha system built to ensure players get their favorite characters. Players can summon & collect different rarities and types of Servants from different summoning banners. Higher the base rarity of the Servant, the lower the probability of obtaining them. The lower the base rarity of the Servant, the higher the probability of obtaining them. Here are the rates to summon the different rarities of Servants:

• Epic Servants– 5.2% Probability of being summoned
• Rare Servants – 45.6% Probability of being summoned
• Normal Servants – 49.2% Probability of being summoned

Here are all of those resources along with notes on where to find them and where to use them:

• Servant XP – Servant XP is one of the most important resources to acquire in large quantities. As the name might have already given it away, it’s the resource that is required to level up all owned Servants. Players can get more Servant XP through Idle rewards, quick sweep, in-game events, quests, main story chapter clears, maintenance rewards, XP chests, and more areas. 
• Gold – Gold is also one of the primary currencies in HEIR OF LIGHT Eclipse. It is available in abundance throughout the game. Gold is mainly acquired through completing quests, engaging in in-game activities, participating in events, login rewards, pre-registration rewards, main story rewards, idle rewards, and more. Gold is used in abundance to enhance Equipment and Servants.
• Karat – Karat is the premium currency of HEIR OF LIGHT Eclipse. They are quite scarce in availability, especially after you reach the mid-late game. Karat is primarily obtained from events, pre-registration rewards, quests, and first-time clearance of main chapters. Karats are used for summoning Servants only.
