Frost & Flame: King of Avalon is a 4X strategy multiplayer game set in the medieval fantasy setting of England and Knights of the Round Table. After the fall of King Arthur, the kingdom has been split into multiple factions and the holy sword Excalibur is left stranded, waiting for a new ruler to unite the empire once again. In this article, we will be sharing some of our personalized tips and tricks to help you dominate your foes in the battlefield and climb the rankings. 

Tip #1. Focus on Base Building 

Building a strong and efficient base is the foundation of success in King of Avalon. 

Focus on Resource Production: Prioritize the construction and upgrading of farms, lumber mills, iron mines, and silver mines. Consistent resource output is critical for building structures, training troops, and studying technology.

Balance Your Building Upgrades: While it is tempting to rush and upgrade your Stronghold, do not overlook other structures such as Barracks, Stables, and Hospitals. A balanced approach guarantees that you have a consistent supply of troops, appropriate healing capacity, and the infrastructure to maintain your army.

Utilize Your College: Research in the College is critical for increasing resource production, military strength, and overall base efficiency. Upgrade economic research first for faster resource production, then construction research for faster building timeframes.

Space Management: Place structures strategically to avoid clutter and make your base easier to manage. Use your layout to reduce walking time for your troops while increasing total base efficiency.

Tip #2. Join an Alliance

Being a part of an active alliance can significantly impact how you progress in Frost & Flame: King of Avalon. Here are some core advantages of joining an Alliance:

• Alliance Gifts and Rewards: Alliances regularly receive gifts from members’ activities, such as purchasing packs or completing events. Open these gifts for free resources and items.
• Alliance Research: Contribute to alliance research to unlock powerful buffs that benefit all members. Prioritize research that enhances troop attack, defense, and resource production.
• Reinforcements and Defense: An active alliance can provide reinforcements and resources in times of need. This is especially useful if you’re under attack or planning a large offensive operation.
• Alliance Events: Take part in alliance events like Kingdom Wars, Dragon Arena, and Alliance Conquests. These events provide valuable rewards that can accelerate your growth and strengthen your position.

Tip #3. Summoning the Strongest Heroes

For those confused, heroes are the main bread and butter that provide commandeering to your troops and help maximize your resources in battles. Heroes can be recruited via the innate gacha system in Frost & Flame: King of Avalon, or by simply obtaining their shards from different events. Either way, they play a crucial role in expedition and other combat modes. Having a balanced squad of strong heroes that synergize with the troops they are made to lead will play in your favour. 

Heroes in King of Avalon serve as troop leaders, whether in tactical Explore engagements or more math-intensive March battles. As a result, they comprise a significant portion of your military’s combat strength and fighting ability. Keeping them trained so they can lead your armies to ever-greater successes is critical for advancement in the game.

Tip #4. Utilize the Power of Dragons!

The dragon is a unique and powerful unit in King of Avalon that can turn the tide of battle. Equip your dragon with skills that complement your battle strategy. For example, use skills that increase damage against Infantry if you’re facing Infantry-heavy enemies. Experiment with different skill combinations to find the best match for your playstyle. Regularly feed your dragon to level it up and increase its power. 

As your dragon grows stronger, it will gain access to more powerful abilities that can be a game-changer in battles. Dragon Emblems provide powerful buffs to your troops. Equip your dragon with emblems that align with your strategic goals, such as those that boost attack power or enhance defense.

Tip #5. Utilize your Speed-Ups

In the early phases of the game, you will see that the timers for building upgrades are quite short such as 10 seconds – 1 minute. But only after a week of rigorous playing, they can shoot up to 1 hour for even the smallest of buildings and up to 12 hours for bigger ones like your headquarters. Speed-ups are going to be your friend throughout this tiring journey as they allow you to skip ahead some of the construction time. 

Make sure to use these speed-ups after you’re done with playing the game for the current session and about to log-off. You can get access to tons of speed-ups as part of the pre-registration rewards, questing rewards, and by purchasing them directly from the Alliance Shop (provided you are part of one).
