Handling the Handguns: BlueStacks Guide to Handguns in PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile has a good selection of weapons in the game. It is a multiplayer action-based game and the importance of weapons is very high. Combat and fighting are at the core of the game and weapons play a major role in that. There are multiple categories of weapons in the game like Assault Rifles, Shotguns, SMGs, LMGs and Snipers. These are all very effective in different stages of a match. Players also choose weapons according to their play style and strategies. There are multiple roles in a squad, too, and it is important for players to choose weapons according to their role in the squad.
While playing the game on the BlueStacks Emulator, we realized that out of all the categories of the weapon, there is one category that is often neglected by the players. These weapons might not be very effective, but are better than having no weapon at all. They can also be acquired very easily and are easily available on every map. This category of weapon is Handguns.
Handguns are one of the first weapons that players obtain after landing on any map in PUBG Mobile. These weapons are can be used in the initial seconds of the match and are very effective during that time. These are used as complementary weapons in the game and no player uses them as the main weapon, but that does not mean that the handguns are useless.
There are 9 types of handguns in PUBG Mobile and all of them come with different properties, damage and fire rate. It is a good idea to have a handgun in your loadout, but a lot of players choose not to keep it because it takes space away from other things to be stored in the backpack.
Types of Handguns in PUBG Mobile
There are 9 types of handguns in PUBG Mobile.
1. P92
P92 is a semi-automatic gun that fires 9 mm bullets. It is a good weapon in the hands of players who have been playing the game for quite some time. However, beginners should avoid using the gun as their primary weapon even during the initial seconds of the match. The gun does not have a lot of recoil and is easy to handle. It does damage of 34.5 on a body shot and damage of 69.1 on a headshot. This damage is done when the enemy is not wearing any gear.
The damage done by the gun on a Level 1 vest is 24.2, and it decreases with damage done to the Level 2 vest, being 20.7. The Level 3 vest receives only a damage of 15.5 with this is pistol. The headshot damage done to an enemy wearing a Level 1 helmet is 48.4 and this reduces when the bullet is shot at the Level 2 helmet to 41.4. The Level 3 helmet is damaged the least as the gun can only do a damage of 31.1 when a headshot is connected to the Level 3 helmet. The damage of the gun gradually decreases until 832 meters and after that, the gun is able to do no damage to the enemy.
Ideal Attachments for P92
There are 3 attachment points on the handgun and therefore players need to be very careful about the attachments that they choose to put on the gun. The ideal combination of attachment for P92 would be a suppressor, an extended quickdraw mag and a red dot sight. The suppressor would increase the stealth properties of the gun. The gun only comes with 12 bullets in the magazine, therefore, an extended quickdraw would not only increase the magazine size to 20 but also reduce the reload time. Lastly, the red dot sight will enhance the accuracy and players will be able to connect more and much better shots to the enemy.
2. P1911
The P1911 is an OG handgun in PUBG Mobile. It fires 0.45 mm bullets. It is a good weapon in the initial stages of a match and can also be found very easily on any map of the game. The gun has hit damage of 41 and can be used against enemies at the start of the match since players are still looking for guns and supplies. It is a semi-automatic gun that comes with only 7 bullets in a magazine. It becomes very important for players to connect every bullet to the enemy if they want a knock and kill. The gun can do damage of 40.60 on a body shot without any vest and damage of 81.2 on a headshot without any helmet.
This is more damage than the previously mentioned P92 can do to the enemy. The damage decrease as bullets meet more geared up enemies, but even then the gun can do damage of 28.4 on Level 1 vest and this reduces to 24.3 on a Level 2 vest. The least damage is done to the Level 3 vest, where the damage is only 18.2. The headshot damage on a Level 1 helmet done by the P1911 is 56.8 which reduces to 48.7 if the enemy is wearing the Level 2 helmet. The damage done to the Level 3 helmet of an enemy by the P1911 is 36.5.
Ideal Attachments for P1911
Since the gun can deal good damage, if used properly it has the ability to take enemies down, but to make it slightly better there are a few attachments that players should consider. The gun is compatible with a total of 6 attachments, but only 3 attachments can be put on the gun. A good choice of attachments would be a suppressor, an extended quickdraw mag and a holographic sight. The suppressor will increase the stealth and won’t reveal your position to the enemies. The extended quickdraw mag will increase magazine size and reduce the reload time. This is important because the gun only has 7 bullets, which might not be easy to connect on a moving enemy. Speaking of a moving enemy, the holographic sight will increase the accuracy of tracking the enemy and take them down.
3. R1895
The R1895 is a revolver. It fires 7.62 mm rounds and is a very powerful gun. The gun has the ability to stop firing at any time. The gun has very high recoil and can be very difficult to master. This should be the last resort for players. The gun does not have any option of attaching an optic or sight. Adding to that, the recoil makes it even harder to work with. The gun also takes longer to reload. However, players don’t have to wait for the gun to reload fully, they can stop the reload and start shooting mid-way even if only one bullet has been reloaded. The overall hit damage of the gun is 55. It can do a damage of 54.8 on the body and 109.6 on the head when the enemy has no gears on.
The gun can do a damage of 38.3 to the Level 1 vest, which reduces with the Level 2 vest. The gun can do damage of 32.8 to the Level 2 vest. The Level 3 vest takes the least amount of damage, with the damage being 24.6. The damage is also high on headshots. R1895 can do a damage of 76.7 to the Level 1 helmet, which reduces to 65.7 on Level 2 helmet. The Level 3 helmet takes 49.3 damage per headshot, which is the least. This is one of the highest damage dealing handguns in PUBG Mobile but again, mastering it remains a challenge.
If players manage to acquire this gun, it is best to use it in close combat fights where the recoil does not affect it much. It is not a good idea to use it in mid-range. It can be a good gun to use when finishing off knocked out enemies. The headshots can be lethal, but it is no match for the assault rifles in the game.
Ideal Attachments for R1895
The gun only has one attachment option. Players can only attach a muzzle to it. The suppressor is the only attachment, and it helps you increase the stealth. There is no way in which players can reduce the recoil or increase the accuracy of the gun.
4. P18C
P18C is a pistol that has a full auto mode. The gun fires 9 mm bullets. It is considered to be the best pistol in the game, but has the least damage on armored enemies. It is a good backup choice but not very good as a primary, or even a secondary weapon. This pistol can be a good competition to some SMGs but the damage keeps it off the list. Talking of damage, the pistol can do a body shot damage of 22.4 and a headshot damage of 44.9. This is when the enemy is not armored at all. The damage is anyway low and it reduces gradually. The gun can do a damage of 15.7 to the Level 1 vest and a damage of 13.4 to the Level 2 vest.
The Level 3 vest is not damaged much by the gun as the damage is 10.10. The same pattern continues with headshots. The headshot damage done to the Level 1 helmet is 31.4, and it reduces to 26.9 when it comes to Level 2 helmet. The Level 3 helmet remains unbothered again with a damage of only 20.20. The only thing that makes this gun special and s favorite is the recoil and the control. It is a very stable weapon in the game.
Ideal Attachments for P18C
There are 3 attachment slots in the gun. A good combination of attachments would be a suppressor, an extended quickdraw mag and a red dot sight. The suppressor would increase the stealth of the weapon, since it does less damage, it is best to sneak up on your enemies and shoot them down. The extended quickdraw mag will increase the magazine size and reduce the reload time, which will give players more bullets to shoot at the enemy to do more damage. However, it is still best not to use it as the primary weapon in PUBG Mobile.
5. R45
R45 is another revolver in PUBG Mobile. It is a powerful gun that fires 0.45 mm bullets and has a fast reloading time. It can be used as an alternative to the R1895 because of the lower reloading time, but the trade-off here is the damage. It does slightly less damage as compared to the other revolver. The hit damage of the gun is 55. The body damage done on an enemy is 54.8 and the headshot damage is 109.6. This is when the enemy is not armored and is not wearing any protective gear. The R45 does a damage of 38.3 on Level 1 vest, which is reduced to 32.8 on a Level 2 vest. The Level 3 vest is only given a damage of 24.6.
On connecting a headshot on the Level 1 helmet, the gun does a damage of 76.7 which reduces to 65.7 on the Level 2 helmet. The Level 3 helmet takes a damage of only 49.3. The damage does not vary a lot from the R1895.
Ideal Attachments for R45
Another factor that differentiates this gun from the R1895 is the availability of one attachment slot. Players can attach the red dot sight to R45 to enhance the accuracy of the bullets. It is a good option for close combats, mid-range fights should not be taken with this weapon. It is not a very common weapon in PUBG Mobile, therefore it’s a good choice if players decide to make it a part of their loadout when they get their hands on it.
6. Sawed-Off
It is the only handgun in PUBG Mobile that fires 12 gauge shells. The gun is a good option for close range and can deal a significant amount of damage. The gun is unique because it uses pistol slots. The short barrel on the gun gives it a really big spread. The hit damage of the gun is 22. The body damage of the gun is 20 and the headshot damage of the gun is 30. This damage of the single bullet done on an enemy without any gear.
The damage done to the Level 1 vest is 14, this damage reduces to 12 when shot at a Level 2 vest. The Level 3 vest takes a damage of 9. The gun does not have the highest damage, but can be a lethal option in close range.
Ideal Attachments for Sawed-Off
The Sawed-Off has only one slot for attachment and that is only for the muzzle. The only attachment that players can go for in this gun is the choke for shotguns. The choke controls the bullet spread of the gun. This can help players do more damage to their enemies.
7. Flare Gun
The flare gun is the only gun in the game that is not really a weapon. It is an extremely rare gun that, when fired, brings in a custom airdrop. This drop consists of a larger number of highly valuable weapons and equipment compared to the normal airdrop that comes in every zone. The flare needs to be fired straight up in the air and after reaching an altitude of 200 meters, a plane flies over shortly to drop off the crate. This happens only if the player is inside the play zone.
If the flare is fired in the air outside the play zone, then the plane comes with a BRDM for the players. Firing the flare gun at the enemy does not do any damage. The gun also does not have any attachment options. There are 4 flare guns on the Erangel and Miramar map, 3 on the Vikendi map and 2 on the Sanhok map.
8. Skorpion
Skorpion is a machine pistol type weapon in PUBG Mobile that fires 9 mm bullets. This is one of the few handguns that has an automatic fire mode and works as a close substitute to the SMGs in the game. Some players also use it as a secondary weapon in the initial stages of the match. The recoil is low, and it is not very hard for players to control it. It has a single fire mode as well as an automatic fire mode. Players can switch between the modes according to the need of the situation. The hit damage of the gun is 22. The gun can do body damage of 22 and headshot damage of 44 to the enemy who has no protective gear on. While firing at the Level 1 vest, the gun can do a damage of 15.4 which reduces to 13.2 when fired on the Level 2 vest. The Level 3 vest takes a damage of 9.90 which is the least to any of the vests. When it comes to the headshot damage, the gun does a damage of 30.8 on the Level 1 helmet and the damage reduces to 26.4 on the Level 2 helmet. The Level 3 helmet takes the least damage of 19.8 when shot at.
Ideal Attachments for Skorpion
There are multiple attachments that players can put on the Skorpion. However, the ideal attachments for the Skorpion would be a suppressor, an extended quick draw mag, a red dot sight, a vertical foregrip and a stock. The stock for Micro Uzi is compatible with the Skorpion as well. The stock and the vertical foregrip enhance the stability of the gun. The extended quickdraw mag increases the magazine size from 20 to 40, giving players more bullets to work with to compensate for the less damage of the gun. The red dot sight enhances the accuracy and the suppressor increases the stealth of the weapon. All the attachments make the overall weapon easier to handle and work with for players.
9. Desert Eagle or Deagle
The Desert Eagle or the Deagle is the most powerful handgun in PUBG Mobile. This is one of the best guns in close range fights. In comparison to the other handguns in the game, the Deagle has an above average muzzle recoil, energy and velocity. The average hit damage of the gun is 62. The initial body shot damage is 62 and the headshot damage is 124. This is when the enemy is not wearing any gear like the helmet or the vest. The damage done to a Level 1 vest is 43.4 and it reduces to 37.1 when shot at the Level 2 vest.
The damage done on the Level 3 helmet is the least but is still more than other handguns in the game at 27.9. The headshot damage of the gun is lethal. It does a damage of 86.8 on the Level 1 helmet and a damage of 74.3 on the Level 2 helmet. The damage done to a Level 3 helmet is 55.8. This is the only handgun in the game that can destroy the Level 3 helmet in just 2 headshots. If used correctly, this gun can be a game-changer in close range.
Idea Attachments for Desert Eagle or Deagle
There are 3 attachment slots on the Deagle, so players don’t have a lot of options. The ideal attachments for the gun would be an extended mag, a laser sight and a holographic sight. The extended mag would increase the magazine size giving you more bullets to work with. The laser sight will increase the hip-fire accuracy allowing you to make better shots with the bullet. The holographic sight will increase your ADS accuracy allowing you to take enemies down faster.
These are the handguns in PUBG Mobile and there are a number of ways in which these guns can be used. However, a thing to keep in mind would be to use these weapons only in dire situations. Choosing most of these weapons as your primary weapon can be a poor choice.
These weapons are a good option to confirm kills rather than taking on the enemy head-on. The handguns are no match for the assault rifles, shotguns or even the DMRs, so always carry a primary weapon, preferably an Assault Rifle.
Understanding these things can help you use the handguns to your advantage. There are multiple other guns in the game and knowing about them is always an added advantage.
