PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular battle royale games, where survival, strategy, and reflexes play key roles in securing a win. The game is both fun and challenging, and whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, there are always ways to improve your gameplay. This article sheds light on some of the most helpful tips and tricks we were able to secure directly from the veterans who have reached the highest ranks on the global leader boards. While you can always improve your core skills, some tactics need to be learned! Let’s begin!

Tip #1. Master the Art of Landing

Your landing spot can significantly affect the early stages of the game. Choose a location that balances loot availability and the distance from the flight path. High-traffic areas (like Pochinki or Bootcamp) offer great loot but can be dangerous, while quieter areas (like the outskirts or small towns) offer safer but fewer resources.

Hot Drops: If you’re looking for action, drop into areas with high loot potential like Bootcamp, Hacienda, or Military Base.

Low-Traffic Areas: If you prefer to play cautiously and loot in peace, opt for less populated locations where you can gather weapons and equipment without immediate threat.

Tip #2. Optimize your Settings According to your Comfort 

Since PUBG MOBILE is played directly via inputting commands on your screen, it’s safe to say that controls play a huge part in your gameplay. To gain an edge over other players, ensure your game settings are optimized in the following manner:

Graphical Settings: If you want smoother gameplay, lower the graphics settings. This reduces lag and makes it easier to spot enemies.

Control Settings: Customize your control layout to match your comfort level. The standard layout may not work for everyone. Experiment with the layout, sensitivity, and controls to find the one that suits your playstyle.

Gyroscope: Activating the gyroscope can enhance your precision, especially for long-range sniping and recoil control. Practice using it for better accuracy. 

Tip #3. Master the Guns and Recoil Control

Each weapon in PUBG Mobile has different stats, and mastering them is key to improving your kill potential:

Assault Rifles: AKM, M416, and AUG are the most popular and versatile choices. The M416 offers great stability, while the AKM has high damage but heavy recoil. Learn how to control the recoil of each weapon by practicing in the training ground.

Sniper Rifles: If you’re good at long-range combat, sniper rifles like the Kar98k or M24 are powerful. Practice your aim and timing to land headshots.

SMGs and Shotguns: These are great for close-quarter combat. The Vector is known for its fast firing rate, while the UMP45 has better damage output and range. 

Tip #4. Realize the Importance of Sights and Scopes

Many of the weapons are customizable, and holographic sights and scopes make it much easier to hit your target. At the beginning of the game, manually capture any sights or scopes you come across so they can be attached to the guns you collect. Bingo, you’ll be dropping bad guys in no time. If you have spare sights, share them with your team. 

Some guns will be equipped with sights by default, however you can select a specific weapon and accessories. Put the 6x scope on your 7.62mm firearms, which have more power and range and are ideal for sniping. Avoid high magnification on SMGs; they’re best for close-quarters fighting if you only want to shoot from the hip. The 8x sight will only fit on sniper rifles, making them deadly from long range. Once you understand the power of equipping sights on your guns, your aiming problems will lessen with time.

Tip #5. Use Silencers!

Stealth is your friend in PUBG because gunfire is visible on the map for enemies nearby. Silenced guns make it much more difficult for other players to find you – silencers are available for a variety of weapon types (AR, sniper, SMG, and pistol), however if you already have a compensator, you may need to manually add it to your weapon after you find it. Silencers do not affect the ballistic qualities of guns. The AR silencer is compatible with some sniper rifles, such as the SKS, so experiment.
