The Ragnarok Beginner's Guide to Hone your Basics
The Ragnarok is a mobile ported version of the original Ragnarok but given a few more thematic touches to help it stand out from the rest. The developers are keen to provide an open-world MMORPG experience to players wherein they customize their character according to their liking. With over 500+ clothing pieces available, every character will look and feel unique. Since the game is fairly new, this beginners guide will help budding adventurers learn about the core mechanics and gameplay systems. Let’s begin!
Understand the Gameplay Mechanics of The Ragnarok
The Ragnarok is a beautiful open-world MMORPG that lets you go on a thematic adventure in the mysterious world of Ragnarok. Humans and monsters live together in harmony until some troublesome powers have gone rogue and caused them to rebel. As an MMORPG, players will need to do a lot of questing in the game. Questing essentially refers to taking up missions and completing them for generous rewards. In the game, there are 3 types of quests – Main quests Side quests, and Event Quests. Players can simply tap on the quests and their character will auto-path towards the target area.
The Main quests are tied to the main storyline and helps you progress your account by unlocking new features and game modes. Players will also gain a ton of experience points by completing such quests, allowing them to level up their account drastically. The side quests on the other hand are easier to complete and do not link directly to the storyline. Although these quests offer amazing rewards as well, completing them should not be your priority as it will hamper your progression. Such quests do not offer any significant exp that will help you unlock more game modes and level up your account.
Lastly, keep an eye out for Event quests, which arise on a regular basis and last just a limited amount of time. Event quests frequently include rare prizes, such as buffs and high-value resources, that you will not find in Main or Side quests. Because these tasks are time-sensitive, it’s best to prioritize them while they’re active, as they provide exclusive goods that can greatly improve your gameplay.
Jobs
Jobs are essentially classes of modern MMORPGs. Each job is essentially a unique character by themselves. You will get to choose a Job fairly early in the game when you approach to join a Guild. During this time, players get the option to choose from 1 of 5 distinct jobs:
- Swordman – The traditional battle job. All swordsmen are trained in the Swordsman training ground on Izlude. Swordsmen are adept at dealing tons of damage from melee range, and boast knowledge about all types of swords in the world. They have very high strength and vitality stats but low agility.
- Mage – The power of mage comes from the magic power filled in the mortal world. Mages gather in the city of Geffen, a place full of magic power. Mages have very Intelligence and Dexterity stats but low Strength and Vitality.
- Archer – People in Payon understand the necessity of fully using ranged weapons. Bow and arrows are indispensable partners either for hunting or adventure. Archers have high Agility and Dexterity. They are powerhouses when it comes to DPS and also are quite agile, making them easy to play.
- Acolyte – Acolytes are people who devote themselves to God. They are destined to listen to God’s word and follow God’s will. Acolytes have high Intelligence and Luck, enabling them to be crucial in team fights.
- Merchant – Merchants used to hire bodyguards but learned self-defense as generations progressed. Eventually, they gained some unique powers. Merchants have high Strength and Vitality, but low agility. They can deal decent damage while also providing essential buffs to the team.
- Thief – To protect their property and steal others properties, thieves began to train their skills over the past generations. Thief class boasts high agility, luck, and strength. They are the titular assassins that we all love to play but hate to face in MMOs.
Guilds
A guild in The Ragnarok is a group of active players who are all adventuring in the game with you. Joining a guild is a terrific way to get involved in a community, which may be especially useful for newcomers. Being in a guild provides possibilities for support, shared knowledge, and access to resources, making your trip through the game much easier and more fun.
One of the most coveted benefits of joining a guild is the opportunity to exchange and learn strategies from other players. If you are stuck on a difficult part of the game or are unsure of what steps to take next, your guild can be a great help to guide you. Guilds are often made up of both experienced and novice players, so you’ll have lots of guidance and advise to help you tackle difficult problems. Even little advice from other players can make a difference, and as you gain more expertise, you’ll be able to share your knowledge with others.
Guilds also provide special activities that are only available to guild members. Participating in these guild activities can result in considerable rewards, like additional gold, high-quality gear, and other useful resources. These rewards are a strong motivation to join a guild because they provide access to goods that would otherwise be difficult to obtain, allowing you to advance faster and improve your gameplay.
Playing The Ragnarok on a bigger screen of your PC or Laptop with BlueStacks without worrying about battery drainage is highly recommended.
