Why You Should Reroll

In TWD Match 3 Tales, you’ll have numerous chances to roll for new characters to add to your roster. With 85 characters, many of which you’ll recognize from the acclaimed TV show, you’ll have a heck of a time figuring out which characters are best for your roster and how to utilize them.

At the beginning of the game, you start off with 4 characters that can blaze through the tutorial and early stages of the game with ease. However, as you make it to the later stages of TWD Match 3 Tales, you may find yourself struggling to beat each level within a certain number of moves.

This is where the right character comes into play.

The right character, in general, is that who kicks the most butt. In essence, the more powerful the special attack is, the easier progress will become. This, of course, is hinged on rolling the best character early on in the game.

Remember how we said randomness comes into play? Well, rolling for a good character is pretty hard, what with the high number of characters available. But with rerolling, we’ll have more than one bite of the pie. If you follow these tips, you may not even need to reroll in the first place, but that’s up to you.

How to Reroll in The Walking Dead Match 3 Tales

There are 2 ways to reroll in TWD Match 3 Tales. Follow these steps first:

• Click your avatar on the top-left corner
• Select Options
• Scroll to the very bottom 

1. Delete your account

Deleting your account will, well, delete your account from the server. This means all progress you’ve made will be deleted, and you need to log back into the game on a fresh account to start over.

While you can do this, it’s a time-consuming process since deleting can take up to 90 days. Since we’re trying to roll the best character right now, this is not the route we want to take.

2. Reset your account

This is what we want to do. Resetting simply means starting your account from scratch. What happens when you reset your account is that all progress you made will be erased, and you’ll have to redo the tutorial. However, there’s no waiting period between hitting the Reset button and starting anew.

Rolling a New Character

Now that you’ve reset your account, it’s time to roll for a new character. Unfortunately, this is a pretty long step that requires playing the game normally until you’ve reached the first roster roll ticker. This can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how familiar you are with the early stages of the game.

Now, if you’ve pre-registered for TWD Match 3 Tales, then you should have received the 4★ Classic Character bonus. Opening this item will allow you to roll for a 4★ star hero from the get-go. This provides an awesome bonus for players in the early stages, where the normal player would be stuck with 1 or 2★ characters for a long, long time.

Which 4★ Character to Get

Looking at the roster glossary, you’ll see that there are 21 4★ characters to choose from. Your pre-registration bonus will randomly choose any of them to add to your team, and you’ll be lucky to have any of them. However, we’re not focusing just on 4★ characters—we want the best one!

So, which is that?

Lori Grimes (HUMANE Attribute)

The vanilla Lori Grimes in your starter team belongs to the RATIONAL attribute. While this is fine for the early game, the 4★ Lori Grimes in the HUMATE attribute is much, much better.

Her special attack, Calm Humming, increases the ATK stat of all allies by 26% for 3 turns while simultaneously improving their defense by 19%. Additional level bonuses for this character are:

• Extend all allies’ effects by 1 turn
• Increase team DEF by another 10%
• Extend all allies’ effects by 1 more turn
• Increase team ATK by 17%
• Extend all allies’ effects by 1 more turn (3 in total at max level)

Denise Cloid (HUMANE Attribute)

Denise is an excellent support character who provides healing and ATK boosts during critical moments, including boss fights. You’ll want her in your party to survive huge hits from the enemies.

Focused Surgery, her special attack, heals the HP of adjacent characters by 20% of those characters’ ATK + 230. In addition, she can remove the Bleed status from those characters.

Her level bonuses are:

• Increased Recovery by 150
• Heals HP by 102 for 4 turns after removing Bleed status
• Increased Recovery by another 13% of the character’s ATK
• Makes adjacent characters immune to Bleed status
• Increased HP regeneration by 90

Michonne (RATIONAL Attribute)

The 4★ Michonne character is a huge damage dealer in the early-to-mid game of TWD Match 3 Tales. Her special attack, Artery Rupture, does 202% damage to a target and adject enemies, as well as heal her by 50%. On top of that, she deals another 60 Bleed damage for 3 turns.

Her level enhancements are:

• Skill damage increased by 40%
• Increased skill activation from SLOW to FAST
• Increased Bleed damage by 85
• Increased skill damage by 70%
• Increased skill activation by 10% for characters in Bleed Status
