Tree of Savior: Neverland – A Guide to the Skilling System
Tree of Savior: Neverland is a beautiful new MMORPG that features mesmerizing landscapes, lush open-world, and multiple classes to choose from. One of the top priorities in the game is understanding about the skilling system. Skills are the bread & butter of your character and helps them engage in combat situations. The skill system is quite diverse and there’s a lot of aspects attached to it. Let’s learn everything there is to know about skills!
The Skilling System in Tree of Savior: Neverland Explained
The skilling system in Tree of Savior: Neverland entails the even distribution of a currency known as “Talent points”. Players will earn talent points each time they level up their account. These points can be allocated in different skill trees to enhance a particular aspect of the class. For example, if you have taken up the Gunslinger class, you can allocate your talent points either to improve the range of the character or to improve the overall damage, whichever suits your playstyle. Hence, the skilling system actually provides a little bit more customization to your playstyle and needs. But, there’s a catch.
Talent points can be allocated only 1 time to gain additional skills or to simply enhance some core stats of the character. Once allocated, all players are given a free reset for the first time they decide to change their allocation. However, after the first free reset, the re-sets onwards will cost players some Light Gems. For those unaware, this is the premium currency of the game and we have covered about more such important resources in our beginner’s guide. It’s recommended that players only take up skills they are sure of, and not change them regularly unless they have ample Light Gems in their stockpile.
Skill Allocation
Like we explained in the section above, skill allocation is an important task. You will have a limited number of talent points in the early levels, locking you out of acquiring important skills and passive abilities. These stats can make or break an account in the upper echelons of PvE and PvP game modes. You can allocate points to skills via 2 ways – Manual or Auto. The manual way of skill allocation is recommended for experts and veterans, or for those who have played similar games before and understand what each class brings to the table. Like the mode states, players will invest each talent point manually in the skill tree.
The Auto allocation is more suited for beginners that might have a hard time understanding what each skill does and its importance. In this method, the AI (Artificial Intelligence) will help you allocate all your talent points in various skill trees automatically at the click of a button. The AI will prioritize choosing the skills that the majority have chosen, helping beginners make more sensible choices.
Jobs
Jobs are the secondary promotion that each class can acquire. These are not your standard outfit change promotions but a full-blown different set of abilities altogether. There’s a huge precursor to unlock this content, as players need to reach level 58 in order to switch jobs. Jobs also play a major role in dictating your playstyle. Not only do they grant you new abilities and stats but their skill trees can also be customized much like you would with the original class. Sounds confusing? Skill Settings
The skill settings menu is the only way you can change the layout of your active skills. All the skills available to you will be shown on the left-hand side, while the currently active skills will be shown on the right-hand side. Players can choose to drag and drop the skills they would like to use. Remember, you can have only 5 skills active at the same time, even though you can unlock more than 10. Hence, choose the skills you want to use wisely. Even if you don’t, it doesn’t affect your progress much since changing skills is free of cost and can be done anytime.
