The iconic strategy franchise continues to grow as Age of Empires Mobile showcases its new Mercenaries System, giving players increased control and power over their armies.

Players unlock the Mercenary Camp at Level 26, allowing them to contract and recruit powerful mercenary units, then unlock and upgrade their technologies, which are exclusive to these powerful warriors.

Each mercenary group has their set of special skills, listed here:

Byzantine Cataphract:

• Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]

• After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds

Swiss Pikeman:

• When the troops cause turn/passive damage, they ignore the enemy’s [2%] defense (force defense/strategy defense)

• Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]

Persian Immortal:

• Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]

• After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds

Indian Battle Elephant:

• All heroes in the army have a [5%] chance to perform two normal attacks each round

• Reduce the skill damage received by troops by [4%]

Roman Centurion:

• Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]

• After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds

Egyptian Chariot Archer:

• Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]

• After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds

Japan Samurai:

• Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]

• Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]

Korean Archer:

• Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]

• Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]

Players can secure their first Mercenaries for free by completing a new event, which is live with the system now.

This addition to Age of Empires Mobile also offers epic “What if” moments, as players can pair their favorite legendary heroes with different mercenary classes, creating new strategic and tactical gameplay.
