Tower of Fantasy Welcomes New Simulacrum, Ling Han
The popular free-to-play MMORPG, Tower of Fantasy, is expanding its universe with the introduction of a new simulacrum named Ling Han on October 24, 2023. This is part of the game’s Halloween event, which will include themed challenges, rewards, and a limited-time game mode called Maze of Dread.
Ling Han, the latest simulacrum, is a significant addition to the growing roster of characters in Tower of Fantasy. Simulacra are AI representations of characters from the game’s world, embedded in weapons that players can use for their appearance. Ling Han is linked to the weapon called Overseer and holds the position of overseeing Marshville as the head of Longjian Pavilion. Despite her reserved demeanor, she possesses great strength and shows no mercy to her adversaries.
Ling Han’s story revolves around loss and revenge. Her mentor and close friend, Nan Yin, has recently succumbed to the forces of Darkness, and she now seeks the truth behind Nan Yin’s transformation and vengeance for those who fell at the hands of her corrupted friend.
In the Maze of Dread, an exciting 8-player competitive event, one player becomes a ghost, while the others try to catch them within a maze-like setting, earning rewards based on the points collected during the spooky chase.
As players progress with Ling Han, they can earn various rewards. For instance, when they reach 200 awakening points, players can unlock the Avatar: Ling Han, and at 1,200 points, they can access the trait “Ling Han: Facing Sword,” which increases final damage by 13%.
Ling Han is also tied to an upcoming Matrix Set in Tower of Fantasy, boosting all elemental damage by 9% to 18% and dealing extra damage equal to 1,600% of ATK to nearby targets after using an Ice Blade. After using any frost discharge skill, it enhances final damage by 28% to 40% for 30 seconds. When equipped with Overseer, it increases all ATK by 15%.
Ling Han’s introduction is part of the forthcoming update, version 3.3, which also unveils the new Marshville zone, a frigid area affected by the Darkness. This update, combined with the Halloween event, promises to deliver fresh excitement and challenges to Tower of Fantasy players.
