Blue Archive is a huge name in the mobile market, thanks to illustrious 3D designs and unique Idle gameplay. With the game recently completing its 2nd year anniversary, a recent major update (July 2024 Update) has blown fans out of their mind! With over 100 free summons and other rewards being given for free, this update also introduced 3 new characters – Makoto, Ako (Dress), and Hina (Dress). Each of these characters boasts powerful abilities and are definitely going to be meta in the coming weeks. Check their abilities below!

Blue Archive: New Student Makoto

Makoto is a 3-Star student that is classified as a Dealer in-game. She is slated to be used in the special section of the formation. Her introduction reads as follows – “An ambitious leader whose schemes know no bounds. Her thoughtless plans often get the group into trouble, but she brushes it off as if it wasn’t all her fault. She sees Ibuki as a little sister to dote on, and Iroha as one to boss around.”

Listen Carefully! (Basic Skill) – Every 55s, decreases the DEF of enemies in a circular area by 8.3% for 35s.

Invincible! The True Leader of Gehenna! (Sub Skill) – Increases all allies’ Piercing Effectiveness by 15.9%.

I..I Made a Mistake! (EX Skill) – Deals damage to enemies in a circular area. The amount of damage dealt depends on the number of enemies within the area:

4 or fewer: 155% damage

5~9: 311% damage

10 or more: 519% damage.

Great Chairman (Passive Skill) – Increases ATK by 14%.

Blue Archive: New Student Ako (Dress)

Ako (Dress) is a 3-Star student that is classified as a Support in-game. She is slated to be used in the middle section of the formation. Her introduction reads as follows – “She’s dressed up in bold formal wear for the upcoming party to stand proudly by Hina’s side. Ako’s well-known and admired for her impeccable attention to detail and competency, but she’s upping the ante this time to become the perfect agent.”

I Don’t Miss! (Basic Skill) – Every 35s, decreases the DEF of one enemy by 18.5% for 22s.

Also deals damage to the target depending on the number of stacks of Security Success held:

3 or fewer stacks: 496% damage.

4~7 stacks: 531% damage.

8~11 stacks: 584% damage.

12 or more stacks: 638% damage.

Operation Outcome (Sub Skill) – Increases ATK by 3% for each stack of Security Success held.

Perfect Agent (EX Skill) – Increases the Crit by 11.3% and Crit DMG by 32.8% of all allies in a circular area for 30s. Grants 1 stack of Security Success to self for each ally affected (max. 15 stacks).

Agent’s Confidence (Passive Skill) – Increases MAX HP by 14%.

Blue Archive: New Student Hina (Dress)

Hina (Dress) is a 3-Star student that is classified as a Dealer in-game. She is slated to be used in the back section of the formation. Her introduction reads as follows – “The president of the Disciplinary committee of Gehenna changed into a dress to participate in the party. She’d normally avoid going, but Hina heard that Sensei was looking forward to the Gehenna party, so she’s a little more excited than usual. Since the day she decided to perform in front the audience, she has been working harder than usual to practice the piano, which she is not that good at”

Thorough Preparation (Basic Skill) – Increases Explosive Effectiveness by 34.17% and Accuracy by 238 at the start of battle. (Activates only once per battle)

Sincerity (Sub Skill) – While in a Concentrated Fire stance, increase Explosive Efficiency by 36.29~63.51% and gain immunity to Taunt status.

Opening Scene: Ishbobet (EX Skill) – Switch to Concentrated Fire stance for 10 seconds.

While in Concentrated Fire stance, character cannot perform normal attacks or move.

First note of the Melody (EX Skill) – Deals 324% damage to enemies in a straight line. Damage to subsequent enemies is reduced by 45% per enemy hit (to a minimum of 10% of the original damage).

This attack ignores Stability and will always deal its maximum damage.

Increases the remaining duration of concentrated firing stance to 10s.

Second note of the Melody (EX Skill) – Deals 324% damage to enemies in a straight line. Damage to subsequent enemies is reduced by 45% per enemy hit (to a minimum of 10% of the original damage).

This attack ignores Stability and will always deal its maximum damage.

Passionate Performance (Passive Skill) – Increase Attack by 11.2%, and increase Critical Rate by 11.2%.
