Covenant of Light Sariel is the newly added character in The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. The character is the 2nd featured character that got released in the New Year Festival 2022 Draw Event. The first featured character in the event was the Traitor Meliodas character. The previous character’s banner is still available in the game right now.

[Advent of Tornado] Covenant of Light Sariel

Sariel is one of the four archangels that has an HP attribute and he belongs to the race of the goddesses. This is the second version of the SSR character Sariel of Tornado.

Covenant of Light Sariel’s Abilities

• Wind Explosion (first skill)– Rank 1 Inflicts Cleave damage, which does not activate Crit Damage, equal to 120% of Attack on all enemies. Rank 2 Inflicts Cleave damage, which does not activate Crit Damage, equal to 180% of Attack on all enemies. And rank 3 Inflicts Cleave damage, which does not activate Crit Damage, equal to 300% of Attack on all enemies.
• Slashing Wind (second skill)– Rank 1 Assumes a Stance for 1 turn which Taunts enemies and inflicts damage equal to 240% of Attack when taking attacks. Rank 2 Assumes a Stance for 2 turns which Taunts enemies and reduces damage taken from attacks by 40%. Inflicts damage equal to 350% of Attack when taking attacks. And rank 3 Assumes a Stance for 2 turns which Taunts enemies and increases damage dealt by 60%, reduces damage taken from attacks by 60%. Inflicts damage equal to 450% of Attack when taking attacks.
• Tornado (ultimate ability) – Inflicts Suppress damage equal to 300% of Attack on all enemies. This ability can be upgraded up to 5 times when you successfully get a Covenant of Light Sariel duplicate and each upgrade adds 30% to the overall damage.

Covenant of Light Sariel Costumes

You can buy a total of three different costumes for the Covenant of Light Sariel. Each costume is a complete set and gives different stats each. Here are the costumes that you can buy:

• Clown Set

• Clown Glovelettes – Attack +180, Crit Chance +2% and Crit Damage +3%
• King of the Clowns – Defense +180, Crit Resistance +3% and Crit Defense +2%
• Clown Crown – HP +1,410, Recovery Rate +3% and Lifesteal +2%

• Shepherd Set

• Gloves of Shepherd – Attack +180, Pierce Rate +3% and Crit Damage +3%
• Shepherd of the Battlefield – Defense +180, Resistance +3% and Crit Defense +3%
• Crown of the Shepherd – HP + 1,410 and Lifesteal +4%

• Fish Set 

• Fish Thief Gloves – Attack +120, Pierce Rate +3% and Crit Chance +2%
• Sky Fish Pajamas – Defense + 120, Crit Resistance +2% and Crit Defense +3%
• Sky Fish Hat  – HP +930, Recovery Rate +4% and Regeneration Rate +2%

3 New Holy Relics

You can now craft three new Holy Relics for three SSR characters that you already have in your account. Here are the relics and their stats that you can craft:

• Holy Knight Howzer’s Dain’s Lance Relic – Attack +250, Def +300 and HP +2550. Increases the hero’s Pierce Rate, Crit Chance and Crit Damage by 4%, for each orb in the hero’s Ultimate Move Gauge (stacking up to 20%).
• Guardian Griamore’s Dain’s One-handed Sword Relic – Attack +100, Def +500 and HP +2500. Increases the hero’s Regeneration, Recovery Rate and Lifesteal by 4%, for each orb in the hero’s Ultimate Move Gauge (stacking up to 20%).
• Merlin the Daughter of Belialuin’s Idun’s Golden Apple Relic – Attack +50, Def +300 and HP +3550. Increases the hero’s Attack by 20% when attacking Debuffed enemies (applies before skill activation).

Special Event Missions Part 2

Complete all five missions in this event to get a Full Awakening Token as the final reward. You can also get two times New Year 2022 Special Ticket for each mission that you complete. 

Here are the missions that you need to do:

• Meliodas’ Mission – Clear Goal Achievement Event mission 4 times.
• Diane’s Mission – Play Operation:Scraps Sweeper 15 times.
• Ban’s Mission – Use the FInal Boss Battle Shop 5 times
• King’s Mission – Participate in PVP Vaizel Fight Festival 5 times.
• Gowther’s Mission – Clear Death Match 3 times.

Operation:Scraps Sweeper 

This event is a minigame where you need to connect three or more of the same type of scraps within a time limit. There are five types of scraps and four types of scraps are chosen at random at the start of the game. Scrap freshness is determined each game. ranges from 1 to 5 stars. Get points boosted based on freshness when matching scraps. A buff appears after a certain number of matches, top the buff to activate a special effect and set high scores. You can get rewards depending on how many scraps of each type you have successfully connected. Here are the rewards you can get:

• 450,000 points – Pink Holy War Armor outfit for Holy Knight Deldry. Defense +180, Resistance +2% and Crit Defense +3%
• 600,000 points – 3 times Super Awakening Coin
• 800,000 points – 10 times Hammer of Vaizel
• 1,000,000 points – Full Awakening Token

Event Final Boss Battle – Three Powerful Brothers

Defeat the three brothers of the ten commandments to get Final Boss Three Powerful Brothers Points which you can use as a currency in the Final Boss Battle event shop. Just like the other final boss battles, these bosses will also have two phases. Here’s more info about their phases:

• Phase 1 

• • Unique Abilities – Meliodas increases the ranks of all the hero’s skills when the hero takes Crit Damage. Zeldris recovers 50% of diminished HP if a Critical Strike occurs from the Hero’s skill use. Estarossa applies attack disable on all enemies when assuming a stance.
  • Purgatory Energy – Estarossa uses Taunt at every 2 turns and inflicts damage equal to 360% of attack when taking attacks.

• Phase 2

• • Unique Abilities – Meliodas recovers 50% of diminished HP if a Critical Strike occurs from the hero’s skill use. Zeldris increases allies’ defense by 20% for every orb filled in the hero’s ultimate move gauge.
  • Purgatory Energy – Meliodas uses Counter every turn and inflicts damage equal to 1000% of attack when attacked or debuffed. Zeldris inflicts damage equal to 180% of attack and disables attack skills for 2 turns.

Final Boss Battle Season Shop 

You can use the Final Boss Three Powerful Brothers Points that you have collected when defeating the boss in the event shop. Here are the items that you can purchase:

• 5 star Awakening Stone for 2 event points
• 4 times Red Demon’s Horn for 2 event points
• 4 times Gray Demon’s Wing for 2 event points
• 4 times Demonic Beast Howlex’s Ear for 2 event points
• Hammer of Vaizel for 4 event points
• 6 star Demon’s Blood for 6 event points
• 6 star Water of Life for 6 event points
• UR Treasure Chest for 12 event points
• Equipment Engraving Stone for 12 event points
• Super Awakening Coin for 20 event points
• Evolution Pendant for 60 event points

You can also get the Final Boss Battle Reward based on your total accumulated score from all of the battles you run. Here are the rewards that you can get:

• 3,000 score – 5 times UR Treasure Chest
• 5,000 score – 3 time Diamonds
• 10,000 score – SSR Evolution Pendant
• 20,000 score – 5 times Diamonds
• 30,000 score – 3 times Super Awakening Stone

You can also get the Final Boss Battle Reward based on your rank placement in the event. Placing in a higher place will also give you the rewards of the lower place ranking. Here are the rewards you can get:

• Top 100% – 5 times 5 star Water of Life, 5 times 5 star Demon’s Blood and 5 Diamonds
• Top 80% – 5 times Super Rare Evolution Pendant and 10 Diamonds
