Belote & Coinche is a classic card game played by 4 players in teams of 2. The goal is to score 701 points after playing several hands, each of which consists of 8 cards.
To play Belote & Coinche, you and the other players are dealt 8 cards and have to determine whether or not you want to continue. If all players decide to pass, then the cards are taken back, reshuffled, and dealt again. If at least one player decides to continue, then the game starts.
The player who decided on the contract gets to choose one of four colors, which determines whether a suit holds a higher value than the others. You can also choose no trump, giving all suits equal value.
The challenge is to announce the correct contract. If you and your teammate announce a contract but do not fulfill it, the opposing team earns the contract and every point scored during the match. This process continues until one of the teams earns a minimum of 701 points. If both teams have over 701 points, the team with more points wins the match.
