Argent Twilight, the tactical SRPG game is currently in a soft launch testing state where players can test the different builds of the game while the developers make sure the game is stable enough to be released globally. Players can expect some fluid animations and high-level graphics, thanks to the powerful Unreal Engine 4 powering Argent Twilight. The game is set to launch globally in the 4th quarter of this year as a free-to-play title on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Players can refer to the beginner’s guide for Argent Twilight to get a better understanding of how the game works and how to progress efficiently as a new player starting out.
The story of Argent Twilight revolves around the protagonist Djur and his assistant Alcy, the Kingdom’s residents. The premise of the story is to uncover the secrets of the Dark Orbs, some mysterious orbs that are sought by every enemy of Djur. Djur, being a relic collector gets his hands on one of the Dark Orbs that hatches and produces a cute little dragon called Goldie. Players will be adventuring through the vast lands of the Kingdom and beyond, traveling in a map-like world that is divided into multiple stages. Players earn rewards as they clear each stage and unravel the story of the Dark Orbs.
Argent Twilight is a hero collector game where players need to summon their favorite heroes from the Summon system. The Summoning system follows some innate gacha mechanics that are akin to games of these types. Players can summon different rarity of heroes at differing rates. To reroll efficiently, players must understand the base probabilities of summoning the desired hero. Currently, at the time of soft launch, the rates of summoning different rarities of heroes are as follows:
- 5-Star Heroes – 0.5% chance of summoning them
- 4-Star Heroes – 7.9% chance of summoning them
- 3-Star Heroes – 91.6% chance of summoning them
As you can see from the rates, the probability of obtaining the highest rarity of heroes is the lowest while the probability of obtaining the lowest rarity of heroes is the highest. With such a low rate of 0.5%, rerolling for a 5-Star hero in Argent Twilight is not going to be an easy task. 5-Star heroes are considered the best of the best due to their amazing base stats and powerful superior abilities. By base stats, we mean to say Attack, Defense, HP, etc. Abilities play an important part in how the hero’s kit works and the utility provided by them for the formation. For example, if a DPS hero has skills that can crowd-control or heal allies, he fails as a DPS due to less damaging skills. There always exist some exceptions to the rules but this is the general trope in Argent Twilight.
Do not worry as Argent Twilight also has an innate pity system built within the Summoning tab. Players will be able to reach 2 different types of pities – Soft Pity and Hard Pity.
Soft Pity – The Soft Pity in Argent Twilight states that whenever the player is unable to summon a 4-Star hero within 30 summons, they will be getting a +10% increase in the base rate of obtaining a 4-Star hero. This base rate increase applies with each summon made after the 30th one. Hence, players will be guaranteed a 4-Star hero on the 40th summon.
Hard Pity – The Hard Pity in Argent Twilight states that whenever the player is unable to summon a 5-Star hero within 200 summons, they will be getting a +10% increase in the base rate of obtaining a 5-Star hero. This base rate increase applies with each summon made after the 200th one. Hence, players will be guaranteed a 5-Star hero on the 210th summon.
