Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion Tier List - The Best Characters in the Game
The Assassin’s Creed franchise is no stranger to having a diverse crew of playable characters, as well as a plethora of supporting characters to help drive forward the plot in their respective games. From charismatic and skilled protagonists like Ezio Auditore and Altair Ibn La’Ahad, to a wide variety of side characters, this series has had many different faces that pop up along the way, and AC Rebellion is not an exception to this statement.
The latest entry of Assassin’s Creed into the mobile platform follows the exploits of Aguilar de Nerha, who was a member and Mentor of the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins. Aguilar was also the main protagonist of the AC film alongside Callum Lynch, his present day descendant, who were both interpreted by Michael Fassbender. Aguilar, alongside his network of trusted spies and assassins, held a timeless battle against the Templar Tomás de Torquemada to keep the fabled Apple of Eden artifact hidden from him, and safe in the hands of the Brotherhood.
But enough about AC lore; that’s not why you’re here.
There are just under 50 characters that you can unlock in Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion, all with their strengths and weaknesses. As we mentioned in our beginner’s guide for this game, and in contrast to other gacha games, your characters are important for more than just their combat prowess. This is because, aside from enemy grunts and soldiers, each stage is also marred with pits and traps that you must overcome in order to advance. In this sense, you will need a balance of brawn, agility, and cunning to beat most challenges in the game.
Luckily, there are certain combinations of characters that allow you to do just this. Here are a few of the best heroes in Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion:
1. The LLGBA Dream Team
This title is an acronym that stands for Luis, Luisa, Gaspar, Beatriz, Aguilar, which are basically all of the characters that you’ll ever need to win the game. Beatriz alone is enough to carry you all the way through completing the story with 3 stars in every stage, though you’ll need a capable crew of supporting characters for those levels that also require finesse and subtlety.
In nutshell, your main carry in this formation is Beatriz. Although there are Epic and Legendary characters that can outshine her, Beatriz is easily available from the very beginning of the game, and she’s more than enough for dealing with most challenges. In other words, while other Epics and Legendaries can perform better than Beatriz, it’s somewhat irrelevant since she’s more than enough for beating the main game.
Every other character in this formation either fulfills a supporting role as navigators or technicians, or serves as a reinforcement to Beatriz. Luis, for example, is your main technician for those levels that feature lots of boobytraps. Luisa, on the other hand, is your master navigator that can stealthily climb her way through the stage, completely bypassing certain fights.
Gaspar is your main healer that will join you in most missions. Unless you require extra firepower, he will be in your team keeping your party healed up. Furthermore, Gaspar is one of your best investments to upgrade if you get him early on since he can outshine his direct healing competitor, Claudia, and is a great addition to your HQ due to his high Production stat.
Aguilar is your go-to choice for when you need additional firepower or navigation skills. If the mission requires double assassins, you will likely have to drop Gaspar in favor of taking Aguilar alongside Beatriz and Luisa.
Regardless of what the level may throw at you, the LLGBA squad is more than enough to easily get you through the main story.
2. Your Secondary Team
While the prospect of having a squad of 5 characters that can complete every single mission in the game sounds enticing, they can be a bit tricky to unlock since you’ll need to complete a few levels before you’re able to farm their fragments. This is where your secondary team comes into play, which consists of Maximo, Mateo, Tariq, Constanza, and Hamid.
All of these characters can be farmed in the very first region, making them a very strong team for beginners. While they’re definitely far from being among the best characters in Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion, they’re more than enough to get you started.
The individual characters in this squad are weaker than those in LLGBA, at least in terms of stats. However, with a few upgrades, they can get you through the first and second regions, after which you will be able to farm fragments for unlocking your permanent squad.
In this formation Tariq is your main DPS and is the equivalent to Beatriz in terms of role. He will be your go-to choice for dealing with pesky enemies in every stage. Hamid, on the other hand, is your main technician that can disarm traps, while also providing decent damage in case he needs to fight some enemies head-on. Moreover, Constanza is, by far, your best navigator who can easily traverse the rooms of any level, including those that require free running. Lastly, Mateo and Maximo are your designated assassins in the group, with the latter also being quite proficient in stealth.
Between both of these squads, you’ll have everything you need in order to beat every single challenge in Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion. To recap, here’s everything you’ll need:
