Welcome to CHASERS: No Gacha Hack & Slash, a fast-paced, no gacha hack & slash action game where skill reigns supreme. In a world torn by endless war, you control elite warriors known as Chasers — relentless fighters tasked with hunting down corrupted beings threatening the balance of the realms. Forget pay-to-win systems as every character, weapon, and upgrade is earned through pure gameplay. In this beginners guide, we will be explaining the core gameplay mechanics and game modes in layman fashion to help new players progress faster. Let’s begin!

Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics of CHASERS

CHASERS: No Gacha Hack & Slash is a seductive action RPG that brings a 3D simulated environment wherein players can fight enemies in intense fast-paced action combat. Players can use a plethora of different characters, called “Chasers” in official terminology. Since the game has no gacha function, you will gradually unlock more chasers as you progress. Coming to the combat mechanics, they are quite standard and akin to modern ARPGs with some difference in ability executions. While in battles, you will see 2 bars on the bottom of the screen – HP and Energy bar. The former denotes your current Health Points. Once it falls down below 0, your chaser will be defeated and unable to battle further.

The latter energy bar denotes your current energy amount. Each chaser uses some energy to use their abilities. This energy regenerates over time or can be expedited by using Energy drones found during exploring dungeons. Coming to the control section, your movement of chasers is dictated by the virtual movement wheel. Or, if you’re playing on a PC with BlueStacks, you can use the controls of your keyboard and mouse for an efficient playstyle. The game also uses a unique mechanic called “Elphis” magic that allows chasers to use all their abilities without using any amount of Energy.

Think of this as a sort of turbo mode, wherein you can fully focus on executing damage combos and annihilate your enemies. Once your Elphis bar is full, it will glow in blue color, meaning it’s ready for activation. Each chaser has access to unique active abilities that they can use in combat scenarios. The abilities have a specific cooldown attached to them, and players cannot use them again before the cooldown is over. The ultimate ability of each chaser is the most powerful skill in their arsenal. This ability recharges over time as chasers deal and take damage. Once charged, the ability will glow up.

Crafting your Team Formation in CHASERS

It’s natural to say that the game also offers an immense amount of strategy and theory crafting in the form of squad formations. Players can deploy up to 3 unique chasers in battles. You can either manually choose to input chasers or use the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to auto add the strongest chasers in the empty slots according to their power level. Another interesting aspect of the combat system in CHASERS: No Gacha Hack & Slash is that players can willingly switch between chasers at the click of a button. You will be able to see all your deployed chasers on the right-hand side.

Click on their avatars to instantly switch them in. Upon being switched in, chasers will often use their abilities on the go to deal damage or help allied chasers. When not being used, chasers who have taken damage will be put in reserve mode and recover some amount of HP over time. This is a great way to help them relax and ensure optimum usage of their abilities at their full potential. All chasers and enemies in the game have an attribute attached to them according to which they react towards enemies. Consider it like an element or faction feature seen in other ARPGs. The attribute system works as follows:

  • Creation Attribute – This attribute is more powerful against Balance but weaker against Wave.
  • Balance Attribute – This attribute is more powerful against Mystery but weaker against Creation.
  • Wave Attribute – This attribute is more powerful against Creation but weaker against Mystery.
  • Mystery Attribute – This attribute is more powerful against Wave but weaker against Balance.

Chasers with an advantageous attribute will deal 50% more damage to the enemy but deal 50% less damage to enemies with an advantageous attribute.

Enhance your Chasers with Multiple Growth Processes

Much like any other RPG, users can enhance their chasers via multiple growth processes in CHASERS: No Gacha Hack & Slash. The game deploys multiple growth systems for players to enhance the base stats of chasers. Some of these processes are as follows:

  • Leveling Up – Using your accumulated Gold and experience materials of differing rarities, players can enhance the level of their chasers. Each level up directly increases their base stats such as Attack, Defense, and Health. All chasers can be levelled up to a certain level cap, after which they need to be advanced to increase the level cap.
  • Skilling Up – Players can enhance the various active and passive abilities of their chasers by ingesting them with Rusty Bolt of Wave and Battle Data of differing qualities. This process enhances the damage multiplier of skills, and shortens their cooldown period.
  • Breakthrough – This process requires duplicate copies of the same chaser. These can be bought from the shop using the premium currency. Each duplicate can be used to break through the chaser, enhancing their current abilities, stats, or unlocking a new ability. All chasers can be broken through up to 6 times.

Players can enjoy playing CHASERS: No Gacha Hack & Slash on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
