City of Crime: Gang Wars - A Guide to Economy
Knowing how to maintain a stable economy is the most important piece of information that players need to know when they play City of Crime: Gang Wars for the first time. Everything in the game revolves around being able to afford something by spending limited resources that the player needs to earn. This is the hardest sector to develop in the game and we’ll be introducing some of the most important ways you can develop your economy early on to establish stability during your playthrough.
In our Beginners’ Guide, we mentioned how players need to prioritize stabilizing their economy as the first thing they need to do. The game offers many ways players can earn resources that they can spend but there are unfortunately more tasks that require players to spend all the cash and weapons they saved up. Remember that the most successful players on the server are those who are able to expend tons of resources and you should make it your goal to reach that level of stability.
Resource Sites
Resource sites or production buildings are structures in your city that produce resources such as cash and weapons. The main resource sites in the game are the Bars (cash), Arms Workshops (weapons), and Drop Sites (contrabands). These three resources are used in the different tasks that lead to the development of your city and it’s a good idea for players to have as many of these structures as they can have inside their city so that they can have a stable income when playing the game.
It’s important to note that resource sites are the most reliable way to produce resources since they allow the player to passively acquire income without doing anything. However, these alone are inefficient at supplying your entire city since production is extremely slow. While players may not place a huge priority on these structures early on in the game, they will become much more reliable when they are at a higher level and players manage to acquire more of them as they progress further in City of Crime.
Inventory Stash
The game doesn’t completely leave the players to gather resources by themselves. Sometimes, City of Crime: Gang Wars gives players the packages through rewards and incentives that include resource stashes that they can convert into the resource they need. These can be found inside the inventory and usually don’t have a limit on how many players can have. These do not expire nor can they be taken by an enemy player even if you are attacked without any defenses.
Players need to use the resources they have in their stash whenever they run low on assets that they need to do a task. It is not recommended that players use up all their stash at once because it’s always a good idea to have some saved up in case you suddenly find yourself in an emergency situation. Consume only what you need and don’t be afraid to open them up. The biggest mistake that new players make is not using any of their stashes even if it will help them complete a task.
Economic Investment
The investment building offers another way to help stabilize your economy. In this building, players can invest in tech that can upgrade or improve the different sectors in their city. In our case, we’ll be focusing more on the economic branch by focusing our investments on the development tree. The development tree includes all the different ways players can increase the efficiency of their production and gathering rates that will indirectly improve your resource acquisition.
Players need to focus on investing in their development more than the other trees because it is not as necessary for players to have military might and hero strength so early in the game. On the other hand, having a better economy will benefit you in the long run so it’s a good idea to max those out first before moving on to the other trees. Remember that every time you upgrade your investment building, the more higher-level tech you can invest in so make sure to check it out every time.
Collecting it the Hard Way
Resources can be acquired by production or given as a reward by the game, but there are times when you need to take the harder route and start collecting those resources using the hard way. That means sending your soldiers to attack other NPCs, players, or world nodes so that you can collect resources as loot from a successful attack. This is the most fun way to get resources because it allows the player to make difficult decisions for the sake of their city’s prosperity.
This is a difficult approach to collecting resources because it risks your entire army being wiped out by a stronger player. It’s a good idea to remember that soldiers also cost resources to train, so it would be counterproductive to lose as many soldiers as the amount you’re collecting because you’ll need to immediately use those assets to reimburse your losses. Veteran players always target enemies that are significantly weaker than them so that they can minimize their losses and maximize their profits.
Rewards System
We already discussed how the game rewards players with stashed resources but let’s take a deeper look at the game’s reward system and how it supplements the player’s economy. Rewards can be acquired by completing various tasks and events, which give the player additional resources that they can use to upgrade their city. However, the rewards are only really useful for players in the early stages of the game and aren’t as important once they get stronger later on.
Beginners need to maximize the rewards they get in the early stages of their playthrough to truly accelerate their progress in City of Crime: Gang Wars. Completing missions, both the main quests and daily missions will prove to help players improve their economic capabilities. Always try to find ways where the game offers valuable rewards, especially resources and speedups since these are the best items that you can get in the game.
