7 Essential Tips on How to Survive Longer Each Day in Dawn Crisis
The entirety of Dawn Crisis revolves around doing your best to survive every day of a zombie apocalypse. As you progress through the game, each day will become more and more difficult. A quick solution to this problem would be to upgrade your gun but that may not even be enough to survive the increasingly stronger zombies. Alongside focusing on your weapon, you must also pay attention to your passive abilities and even the way you play since all these could make a big difference to your chances of survival.
In this article, we’ll show you the things you need to do in order to survive longer in the apocalypse of Dawn Crisis. By incorporating these tips, you’ll eventually be able to overcome the horde and truly become an ultimate survivor.
Strengthen Your Character by Upgrading Talents
If you want to increase your chances of survival, then you may want to spend diamonds on improving your passive abilities. Before starting the next day, click on “Talent” located on the bottom left of the screen and this will take you to a menu of abilities. From here, you can freely pick which ability to upgrade.
Since the goal is to survive longer, we highly suggest upgrading HP since this will increase your total amount of health and as a result, will allow you to absorb more damage.
You may also want to upgrade “Moving speed” since this will allow you to mobilize faster in-game and this can help in distancing yourself from an approaching group of zombies. The last thing you want is to become surrounded by zombies.
The other abilities are not that essential for prolonging your survival but they are still helpful for other goals. If you want to focus on increasing the damage you deal to enemies, then invest on both “Crit chance” and “Critical Damage”. However, if your goal is to maximize your gold revenue, then invest in “Offline Gold” and or “Gold income”.
Always Wear Armor
Aside from increasing your HP, you can temporarily increase this further by repairing your armor after you complete each day. Fortunately, repairing armor does not cost neither gold nor diamonds; instead, the game will just require you to watch a short ad. Your armor’s durability will then be displayed on the top-left side of the screen inside the vacant bar directly below your HP bar.
Wait For Your Health to Fully Refill
After fighting off hordes of zombies, you may have taken some damage and now have a decreased HP bar. Once you’re back in the camp, your HP bar will actually slowly regenerate until it becomes full again. So in order to survive longer, always make sure that your health is full before starting the next battle. If you have taken damage in the previous battle, then patiently wait for your HP to refill. While waiting, you may upgrade your weapons or skills, play the Roulette, or perhaps buy upgrades and or ammo for your turret.
Purchase Upgrades and Ammo for Your Machine Gun Tower
After surviving the 15th day, you unlock the “Machine gun tower” which is essentially a stationary turret that shoots bullets at zombies alongside you. The turret can ease your burden by taking out zombies that may currently be out of your reach. Furthermore, it can also kill off remaining zombies for you in case you run out of ammunition. Overall, the “Machine gun tower” is a very helpful companion that is worth maintaining and upgrading if you want to survive longer.
To refill the turret’s ammo, click on the turret itself on your camp, then select the “+” located directly beside the ammo bar. Restoring ammo will cost you 100 diamonds but it will be worth the purchase.
Refilling ammo would not make much of a difference if you don’t upgrade the turret itself. To upgrade the turret, simply click the button with the hammer icon that says “Up” and this will enhance your turret to a more powerful version. Keep in mind that the upgrade is not instant. It will take 30 minutes up to an hour for the upgrade to finish; however, you can instantly complete this at the cost of viewing an ad.
Keep Your Distance
The zombies will chase you from every direction so it’s imperative that you constantly move around the map to avoid getting ensnared in one spot. Additionally, ensure that you keep a proper distance away from the zombies in order to have enough leg room to switch to another area of the map. To help you with distancing, you can spend more diamonds on “Moving speed” or you can pick up the “Fast step” power-up – which temporarily boosts mobility – whenever a zombie drops it.
Distancing is crucial but you also have to make sure that you’re not too far from the zombies; otherwise, your gun’s recoil may spread too much and as a result, only a few bullets will actually hit and hurt the zombies. In the long run, this will only deplete your ammo in a short amount of time. This tip still applies even when you’re not using an automatic gun.
For instance, the RPG can deal damage to large groups but the fire rate is slow and it also doesn’t carry a lot of ammo. Because of this, you still need to keep distance so that you won’t be easily swamped by zombies when you’re about to reload.
When it comes to shotguns, you have to be extra cautious about distance since using this gun requires you to get close to enemies to deal maximum damage. The tip here is to get close to kill enemies and immediately back off to an empty space of the map.
The only guns in Dawn Crisis that are ideal for killing at a distance are the semi-automatic rifles like the Mini-14 – which can kill zombies from afar; however, the only downside is it has a slower fire rate than automatic weapons and it often takes longer to kill zombies with this.
Use Skills and Airstrikes to Escape Tight Situations
If ever you get cornered in one spot and need an escape, you can use skills – which are special abilities that were designed to help you with these situations. For instance, the C4 skill will allow you to drop a timed explosive charge which will damage and stun enemies momentarily, making room for a quick escape. Be wise in using skills though since it will undergo a 15-second cool-down before you can use it again.
When you’re really outnumbered, do not hesitate to call an airstrike to instantly kill or at least greatly damage surrounding enemies. We suggest only using the airstrike as a last resort since it’s a very scarce tool.
If you want to make it easier and faster to activate your skill and or call an airstrike, you can use BlueStacks’ Keymapping Tool to assign those actions to an unused key on your keyboard or a side button on your mouse – if your current mouse has one.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome
The zombies will only get stronger and stronger as you survive each day in Dawn Crisis and that entails that you need to get better at surviving in order to overcome the upcoming challenges. To be able to survive longer, you need to constantly upgrade your weapons – including your turret – and improve your stats such as HP. Before battling the zombies, don’t forget to wear armor and once you’re finally facing the ravenous infected, make sure to keep your distance to avoid getting outnumbered. Do all these and you’ll become the ultimate survivor in Dawn Crisis.
If you want to replay the entire game to incorporate these seven tips in a fresh playthrough and test how strong you can get, you can do so with the BlueStacks’ Multi-Instance Tool – which will allow you to install and play Dawn Crisis in a separate Android engine.
