BlueStacks' Beginners Guide to Playing Dynasty Legends 2
Getting ready to play Dynasty Legends 2 on PC? Before you go on your grand adventure, it might be worth taking a look at a veteran’s point of view on the game so that you’ll be able to play at a proper pace. Many people like to approach the game with an empty slate but there are some players who appreciate understanding some of the basic gameplay mechanics so that they don’t regret it later on. This beginner’s guide aims to introduce Dynasty Legends 2 in a way that will help new players.
Dynasty Legends 2 is a hack-n’-slash RPG game where the player will fight in countless battles and wars using different heroes and personalities based on the Three Kingdoms period. With so many good things packed into a small game, you might end up missing out on how to maximize the game’s potential which we plan on talking about in this article. Remember that the best way to play this game is to Install Dynasty Legends 2 on your PC with the help of BlueStacks.
Hero Collection
The game might make you believe that you’ll have a single character during the first few moments of the game but like many RPGs today, Dynasty Legends 2 uses a gacha system where players can randomly acquire characters that they can use. There are many different characters in the game and each of them belongs to different factions, have varying rarities, and specializes in different things. Every now and then, the game introduces new collectible characters that the player can add to their team.
Players are incentivized to collect multiple heroes that they can use on their team. It’s up to you whether you want a hero for its functionality or aesthetic design. The most important thing to keep in mind is that players need to own a lot of heroes so that they can choose which units to use on specific stages and opponents. Higher-rarity units are often preferred simply because they provide the best value so we recommend building a team that has heroes that belong to that category.
Gearing & Upgrading
Once you’ve collected a decent number of heroes and own a powerful team of units that can take on any opponents, it’s time to upgrade those units to make them stronger in battle. There are many ways to upgrade a hero in Dynasty Legends 2 such as leveling them up, fusing powerful equipment, and equipping them with legendary mounts. All these things provide the team with a way to defeat stronger opponents, which will be very important as you reach the higher stages of the main story.
We’ll talk more about how to upgrade a hero’s combat power in a future article since that involves a more detailed explanation of how it works. For now, players need to know that the game offers many ways to upgrade individual heroes but the resources available are extremely scarce unless you’re willing to become a premium user. We always recommend trying to get high-rarity heroes that will stay on the team for a long time before committing all your resources to random units.
Exploration
The game doesn’t exactly use an open-world system like most RPGs that it is inspired from. A mobile platform might make that difficult so they opted to use instance-based stages instead. Instanced stages mean that there is relative freedom to explore an enclosed map, but it requires a bit of loading to travel from one place to another so the amount of stuff that the player can see is limited. That is not to say that the world design makes such small sceneries as beautiful as those you can see in other open-world games.
Players who do want to engage in exploration can do so by following the main story of the game. There aren’t many NPCs to interact with like in traditional RPGs on game consoles and PCs but the story is richer than most mobile games on the Playstore. Dynasty Legends 2 has dedicated a lot of resources to ensure that players get full immersion when playing the game. Those who are not interested in the narrative of the story will be glad to hear that the cutscenes and dialogues are all skippable.
Missions & Campaigns
Missions and campaigns are the main part of playing the game. The main story quest in Dynasty Legends 2 provides a rich story and an opportunity to use your heroes to hack n’ slash through dozens of enemy units which can be really enjoyable no matter how many times you’ve finished a specific stage. The most important thing to note about this is that it provides players with rewards in items and currency that can prove to be useful when trying to upgrade your heroes.
Once a player has defeated a specific stage, they can challenge that stage again manually or by using the blitz function. The blitz function provides players with an instant way to finish a stage to collect rewards if they’re not keen on the idea of having to go through a specific stage all over again. Missions are also important in Dynasty Legends 2 as they provide helpful rewards that the player will need to progress through the game.
Battle Rating
Battle Rating (BR) is Dynasty Legends 2’s version of combat power, which is a rating system used to determine how powerful a specific unit has become. Each hero has its own battle rating but on the main menu, players can see the overall battle rating of their account according to how many heroes they’ve collected and how powerful those units have become. Account battle rating is not as important as compared to team and hero battle rating which are necessary to determine if they can beat a specific opponent.
Players can increase their battle rating by upgrading all their heroes and giving them items that will increase their power level. There are many ways to do so which we’ll talk about in a future article. For now, notice how your battle rating improves over time and keep in mind all of the different aspects that affect its growth.
