Eden Fantasia: Idle Goddess Beginners Guide - Learn the Core Gameplay Mechanics

Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics of Eden Fantasia: Idle Goddess

For those unaware, Eden Fantasia: Idle Goddess is an Idle strategy game at its core that deploys a simple but effective combat system. Players first need to create a team of 5 unique heroes from the list of heroes they own. This part in itself is where the most strategy will take place, as players have little to no control over the movements or skill usage order of their heroes once in battle. The game uses a faction-based combat system that states each element is weaker or stronger to another while being neutral to the rest. The system works as follows:

  • Fed – Stronger against Izumo but weaker against Templar. Neutral against the rest.
  • Templar – Stronger against Fed but weaker against Izumo. Neutral against the rest.
  • Izumo – Stronger against Templar but weaker against Fed. Neutral against the rest.
  • Deity – Stronger and weaker against Devil. Neutral against the rest.
  • Devil – Stronger and weaker against Deity. Neutral against the rest.

Players should judiciously exploit this system as the user who has a faction advantage deals 25% more damage and has a 20% higher hit chance. Having heroes with faction advantage in the team can be a great way to deal with tougher enemies. You should also see a fixed stat number called CP (Combat Power). This number denotes the total strength of your team at any time. It is a good metric to judge power when facing strong enemies. The core combat happens in a real-time fashion wherein players themselves have no control over the usage of abilities.

Your deployed heroes will have a green HP bar denoting their total health at the top of their sprite. A separate yellow bar known as “Rage” bar is on the bottom of their sprite. Heroes will gain Rage when they receive damage or deal damage to enemies. A kill on the enemy will grant huge Rage charges. Once their rage bar is full, heroes can cast their ultimate abilities that deal massive damage or provide sustenance to the team. Each hero in the game is unique and assigned a base rarity. The higher the rarity of the hero, the better they are considered due to better base stats and a superior set of abilities.

Faction Buffs

Each hero in Eden Fantasia: Idle Goddess is assigned a faction. We have already talked about the factional advantages and disadvantages, so it’s time to explore Faction buffs. To put it in easier terms, players can get additional buffs for deploying heroes of the same faction in the team together. These buffs are given to all heroes in the party. Now, the buffs are not only limited to specific factions as it can also be a combo of different factions. For example, here is a list of amazing faction buffs that give free stats to all team members:
