Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics of Forgotten Throne

At it’s core, Forgotten Throne presents an enthralling open-world action packed gameplay experience wherein players can traverse to different realms of the virtual world. Interact with all the different elements and NPC characters for a chance to get additional rewards or trigger hidden quests. The combat mechanics of the game are fairly simple to learn and understand, even for a beginner who has never played mobile games before. You have your main controls on the left-hand side, starting with the virtual control wheel. Drag and move your fingers across to control the movement of your character.

On the bottom right-hand side, you have all of your chosen skills present in a crescent shape on top of the basic attack button. Players can click on any of their abilities to cast them in the direction they are facing. Some skills can also be targeted manually by choosing a specific area. All classes have unique basic attacks that can be used by pressing the enlarged attack icon in the middle. On the bottom left corners, you have 2 small buttons for Dashing and Camera View switching. You can dash a certain distance by clicking on the former button, while the latter allows you to toggle between field of visions. 

On the top right-hand side, you should see the mini-map that highlights all the important places in your vicinity along with acting as the guide for this virtual world. Simply click on any point in the map to highlight the location trail. All of your active quests are located on the left-hand side of the main menu. You can click on any of them and the character will auto-travel towards the targeted quest location. 

The Class System

In Forgotten Throne, your class determines your role and playstyle. Since this decision is permanent, it’s essential to choose wisely. There are 7 classes to pick from:

Berserker: A tanky melee fighter, ideal for soaking up damage. Great for beginners due to its simplicity and survivability.

Mage: A ranged spellcaster specializing in high burst damage and crowd control. Perfect for those who prefer dealing damage from afar.

Priest: A healer with light offensive abilities. Recommended for players who enjoy supporting their team in raids and dungeons.

Warlord: A melee powerhouse with high damage potential. A balanced choice for those who want both offense and defense.

Prophet: A healer focused on support, with even less offensive power than the Priest. Best suited for group play.

Succubus: A stealthy assassin with high burst damage, excelling in PvP scenarios.

Gunner: A ranged damage dealer with consistent DPS. Great for farming and dealing with multiple enemies.

Questing System Explained

Much like other similar mobile MMORPGs, Forgotten Throne also features a host of different quests that players can pursue in their growth journey. These quests are essentially helping hands, teaching you how to play the different game modes. They reward you with resources that are required for class growth and empowerment. Some of the primary types of quests are as follows:

Main Story Quests: The main story is your primary guide as a beginner. Completing these quests provides experience, resources, and gear to help you level up. Follow the story closely to unlock new zones, dungeons, and features.

Daily and Weekly Tasks: Daily tasks are an excellent way to earn gold, experience points, and items. Make it a habit to complete them regularly. Weekly tasks often provide more significant rewards and should also be prioritized.

Hatch System Explained

If you’re unfamiliar with gacha games, then this system might come as a shock to you. In Forgotten Throne, players can summon for different rarities of cute creatures called as “Sprites”. These furry forces act as your companion in battles, and even assisting outside of battles. Sprites come in different rarities, starting with the highest being SSR, and the lowest being N (Normal). The rates of summoning different types of sprites are as follows:

  • SSR Sprites – 2.5% chance of being hatched
  • SR Sprites – 55% chance of being hatched
  • R Sprites – 30% chance of being hatched
  • N Sprites – 12.5% chance of being hatched

Each summon costs an egg. Eggs come in 2 types – Rare and Premium. The rare eggs have a lower chance of summoning SSR sprites, and the Premium eggs have a higher chance of summoning SSR sprites. For new players, an SSR sprite is guaranteed within the first 20 eggs hatched. Players will get a free rare egg to hatch each day.
