In this character guide for Eluya, we will be listing all of the active and passive skills of Eluya, Eluya’s Awakening tree, Play recommendations, and teams/synergies for her.
Eluya Active and Passive Skills
Eluya is a SSR character that is classified as an Assassin in-game. She is from the Umbra element and deals damage from a melee-range. Eluya is one of the most wanted characters in Higan: Eruthyll due to her ability to amplify her own damage over time as she inflicts more stacks of Dark Mark on the target. Her damage multipliers are also some of the highest, especially when it comes to her ultimate ability Ethereal Show which is a single-targeted burst exection skill. She is mainly used for destroying bosses but can also be used in general PvE and PvP content. Eluya is the first main featured character who will be getting her own recruitment banner on the day of global release. It’s highly recommended to obtain her.

Needlework (Basic Ability)
Eluya thrust her needle at the target, dealing P.DMG equal to 200% AD’s P.DMG.
Fate Sewed (Active Ability)
Eluya dashes to a target enemy and deals P.DMG equal to 430% + 106 AD.
Level 1: Damage increases to 430% + 106 AD
Level 2: Damage increases to 472.5% + 211 AD
Level 3: Damage increases to 515% + 365 AD
Level 4: Damage increases to 557.5% + 508 AD
Level 5: Damage increases to 600% + 852 AD
Level 6: Damage increases to 642.5% + 1226 AD
Level 7: Damage increases to 685% + 1526 AD
Level 8: Damage increases to 727.5% + 1691 AD
Level 9: Damage increases to 770% + 1831 AD
Level 10: Damage increases to 812.5% + 2117 AD
Fate Sewed (Active Ability Alternate Version)
Eluya thrusts the Haute Needle at a target for multiple times, dealing P.DMG equal to 540% + 106 AD and applies 1 stack of [Infirm] to the target hit.
[Infirm]: Healing received is reduced by 20%. This effect lasts for 10s. Max 3 stacks.
Level 1: Damage increases to 540% + 106 AD
Level 2: Damage increases to 595% + 211 AD
Level 3: Damage increases to 650% + 375 AD
Level 4: Damage increases to 705% + 508 AD
Level 5: Damage increases to 760% + 852 AD
Level 6: Damage increases to 815% + 1226 AD
Level 7: Damage increases to 870% + 1526 AD
Level 8: Damage increases to 925% + 1691 AD
Level 9: Damage increases to 980% + 1831 AD
Level 10: Damage increases to 1035% + 2117 AD
Ethereal Show (Ultimate Ability)
Eluya dashes to the target and began to snip at the enemy, dealing P.DMG equal to 820.0% + 211 AD and applying 3 [Dark Mark].
[Dark Mark]: generate 1 random debuff for 5s. Max 7 debuffs.
Level 1: Damage increases to 820.0% + 211 AD
Level 2: Damage increases to 902.5% + 422 AD
Level 3: Damage increases to 985% + 750 AD
Level 4: Damage increases to 1067.5% + 1016 AD
Level 5: Damage increases to 1150% + 1703 AD
Level 6: Damage increases to 1232.5% + 2647 AD
Level 7: Damage increases to 1315% + 3053 AD
Level 8: Damage increases to 1397.5% + 3382 AD
Level 9: Damage increases to 1480% + 3662 AD
Level 10: Damage increases to 1562.5% + 4233 AD
Fickle Affection (Passive Ability)
Every debuff on the target will cause the target to take 10% more P.DMG from Eluya. Max 5 Stacks.
Level 1: Damage increased to 10%
Level 2: : Damage increased to 11%
Level 3: : Damage increased to 12%
Level 4: Damage increased to 13%
Level 5: : Damage increased to 14%
Level 6: : Damage increased to 15%
Level 7: : Damage increased to 16%
Level 8: : Damage increased to 17%
Level 9: : Damage increased to 18%
Level 10: : Damage increased to 19%
Eluya Awakenings
Awakenings are the core of the any character in Higan: Eruthyll. Awakenings can be considered as major stat boosts on top of major ability boosts as well. They contain 6 different phases and 10 sub-phases for each character. The major phases contain bigger stat bonuses along with some ability improvements. These ability improvements can be switched at the trigger of a button and helps the player to customize their character to their playstyle or liking. Keep in mind that each of these awakenings take up a significant amount of character fragments to increase. Hence, they are an expensive process that is far-fetched for many free-to-play players.
Here are the different Awakenings of Eluya:
Phase 1 Awakening: Bonus skill damage + 10%
Sub-Phase 1: Stats upgraded by HP + 3%, Armor + 4.5%, and Magic Resistance + 3.15%.
Sub-Phase 2: Stats upgraded by AD + 6%.
Phase 2 Awakening: Bonus physical damage + 5%
Sub-Phase 1: Stats upgraded by HP + 3%, Armor + 4.5%, and Magic Resistance + 3.15%.
Sub-Phase 2: Stats upgraded by AD + 6%.
Phase 3 Awakening: Upgraded Talent (Choice) – Fate Sewed deals 30% more damage on targets below 30% HP.
OR
After casting Quick Snip, increase Physical damage and Magic damage by 15% each. This effect lasts for 5 seconds.
Sub-Phase 1: Stats upgraded by HP + 3.5%, AD + 6.5%, Armor + 5%, and Magic Resistance + 3.5%.
Sub-Phase 2: Bonus ultimate damage + 15%.
Phase 4 Awakening: Upgraded Talent (Choice) – Upon entering battle, increase Unyielding by 20%.
OR
Upon entering battle, increases Physical lifesteal by 15%.
Sub-Phase 1: Stats upgraded by HP + 3.5%, AD + 6.5%, Armor + 5%, and Magic Resistance + 3.5%.
Sub-Phase 2: Stats upgraded by Critical Hit Rate + 10%.
Phase 5 Awakening: Upgraded Talent (Choice) – Upon entering battle, increase physical damage by 20%.
OR
Upon entering battle, increase Armor penetration by 20%.
Sub-Phase 1: Stats upgraded by HP + 6.5%, AD + 9.5%, Armor + 8%, and Magic Resistance + 5.6%.
Sub-Phase 2: Stats upgraded by Physical Penetration Percentage + 8%.
Phase 6 Awakening: Upgraded Talent (Choice) – Upon performing Ethereal Show, the target’s healing received will be reduced by 50%.
OR
When launching Ethereal Show, inflicts 3 Dark Mark on the target.
Eluya Play Recommendations
Eluya requires Play sets that can help her increase her overall DPS output. A little bit of effect hit rate can also help to allow her to land her Dark Mark debuf effectively. Keep in mind that we do not include stats as they are fixed to the Plays. Let’s take a look at the Play recommendations for Eluya:
Carotta Play Set (2-Set) – Increases AD by 32
Carotta Play Set (3-Set) – Increases Damage dealt by basic attacks by 20%.
Mikey Play Set (2-Set) – Unyielding is increased by 10%
Mikey Play Set (3-Set) – Deals 25% more P.DMG to targets whose HP falls below 50%. If the characters is Umbra, then deals 40% more.
Eluya Team Building and Synergies
As you should probably understand by now, Eluya is one of the best single-targeted damage dealers in the game. Her damage successively increases when she inflicts more stacks of Dark Mark on the enemies. Mostly used as a boss killer, she is perfectly paired with the likes of Gyldon, another Umbra elemental character that can inflict stacks of Dark Mark debuff to enemies when they hit her. This combo also helps in her not sustaining damage as Gyldon is a defender that can mitigate lot of damage. Apart from Gyldan, other potential candiates include damage amplifying characters like Liv and healers to sustain Eluya such as Asa, Rooco, and Moetesju.
Here are some recommended team formations for Eluya:
- Eluya + Gyldon + Rooco + Moetesju (Best Possible team)
- Eluya + Gyldon + Rooco + Liv (Great PvP team)
- Eluya + Gyldon + Liv + Fene (AOE and ST mix damage, good for campaign)
