Technically you cannot finish the game in 1 go since it’s supposed to be a live service title that continuously get updated with more content. But you can progress through the game in an efficient way that will make your account overall stronger compared to your peers. Higan: Eruthyll being a gacha game, is not a sprint race but a marathon where you get stronger day-by-day by completing missions and getting access to more resources. However, we do have some helpful tips that can ease the process a little bit and allow you to get some extra resources in a shorter period of time. Referring to our beginners guide for Higan: Eruthyll, players can learn more about the game’s basic systems and combat mechanics.
Tip #1. Clear the Adventure Mode First
The main story of Higan: Eruthyll is not just a story but it’s actual the entire essence of progression in the game. Players are required to complete the Adventure mode to be able to clear the tutorial. The tutorial ends when players complete Chapter 1 Stage 3 in the Adventure mode. The entire adventure mode is divided into 2 different maps – Fantasyland and Real World, just as in the story. Players need to repeatedly switch between the 2 different maps and cleanse the spirits by defeating them with the members of Grophe Troupe. During your journey, you will unlock a lot of new content as well as get access to tons of resources that are available through completing the different areas. Firstly, you will also get access to a great 2-Star healer called Rooco completely for free as you complete the first chapter of the adventure mode. Secondly, you will also get materials to upgrade your main character and the protagonist of Higan: Eruthyll – Eupheria.
Lastly, one of the biggest gains that you will get are going to be the premium currency that is called as Dubriostal. Dubriostal itself come in 2 distinct types – Free Dubriostal and Paid Dubriostal. The Paid Dubriostal are acquired only through buying packs or spending money via microtransactions in-game. The Adventure mode will give you tons of summoning tickets, Free Dubriostal, EXP Potions, and Gold. At an early stage of the game, you will require a lot of EXP potions to level up your characters. A ton of stamina is also required to repeatedly auto battle the cleared stages and reap the resources required for ascending your characters.
Tip #2. Try Re-Rolling for A Good Start
Higan: Eruthyll is a gacha game has tons of different rarities of characters. These characters are placed in different categories to make them unique. Each character have their own unique active and passive abilities. Characters come in different rarities – 1-Star, 2-Star, and 3-Star. By standard, the higher the rarity of the character, the more powerful it will be. Re-rolling is the process through which players can guarantee them a good start by essentially restarting the game after completing the tutorial multiple times. For a successful re-roll in Higan: Eruthyll, we would recommend to first complete the tutorial, and then claim you pre-registration rewards from the in-game mail. Proceed to summon on the Eluya summoning banner to summon Eluya or any other 3-Star character. If unable to summon her, then repeat the process again by deleting your account progress.
The chances of obtaining your desired hero are quite low, as summoning a 3-Star itself is quite low:
- 3-Star Characters – 2% Probability of being summoned
- 2-Star Characters – 19% Probability of being summoned
- 1-Star Characters – 79% Probability of being summoned
With such a slim chance of getting a 3-Star, it’s quite tough and exhausting to re-roll in Higan: Eruthyll. A typical re-roll should take you anywhere between 10-15 minutes of playtime.
Tip #3. Make Combat Easier by Following These Strategies
The combat mechanics of Higan: Eruthyll are quite simple and easy to understand. Players are required to make a formation of 4 characters and arrange them on the map by placing them in individual tiles. You will have no access to their movement in battles but you will have full access to using their active skills and ultimate abilities. The ultimate abilities are located on the left-hand side of the map while the active abilities are placed on the right-hand side of the map. Players can simply drag and drop them to use them. Some abilities require a specific target to be activated. Well, that’s just the basics. We are going to talk about more advanced tips regarding combat. You might or might not have heard about them as they are not covered in the tutorial.
Charge Power: You might have noticed that some enemies have a charging bar above their head when they are trying to use a skill. That’s called the Charge Power or Charging Gauge. It is intentionally applied so that players can take advantage of this. Players can make use of characters that have interrupt skills such as Gyldan to interrupt this charging gauge and cancel the skills of the enemies. Further, they will also take damage from being interrupted.
Chanting: Similar to Charging, Chanting is another process where the enemies stay still and chant for a powerful attack or spell. Players can disrupt this chanting process by using an Interruptive skill or crowd-control ability on the enemy. This will cancel their ability altogether and put it on cooldown as it will be considered used.
Exhaust: This mechanic is only exclusive to boss enemies and elite monsters in Higan: Eruthyll. These huge monsters have an exhaust bar that is denoted by gray color in the bottom of their HP bar. When taking attacks, players not only damage their HP bars but also make the bosses exhausted. Once fully exhausted, they will become vulnerable to taking more damage from your attacks while not being able to attack you back.
Tip #4. Elemental Advantage Plays A Big Role
This is going to be another tip regarding the combat system in Higan: Eruthyll. As you might have noticed, each character in the game has an element attached with the character at top left-hand side of the sprite. You can even see their element by going to the character profile. The stronger element will always deal 30% more damage to the weaker element and ignore 30% resistance while inflicting debuffs.
Here are the different elements and their interactions with other elements:
- Fire Element: Fire element is stronger against Animo element but weaker against Pyro element.
- Animo Element: Animo element is stronger against Pyro element but weaker against Fire element.
- Pyro Element: Pyro element is stronger against Fire element but weaker against Animo element.
- Light Element: Light element is neutral against Fire, Animo, and Pyro elements. It is stronger and weaker against Dark element.
- Dark Element: Dark element is neutral against Fire, Animo, and Pyro elements. It is stronger and weaker against Light element.
Tip #5. Don’t Forget Your Troupe
The Troupe unlocks after the player completes the Adventure mode Chapter 2 Stage 23. Players can access it from the main menu itself and you can already signify it’s importance if it’s located at the start of the game. The Troupe is essentially your base where you have access to multiple facilities. You must unlock the Director’s Office first to gain access to other facilities in the Troupe. First up, comes the Feline Room. In this section, players can convert their lower grade materials into higher grade materials or equivalent material of different types. For example, you can fuse Quadruple Stones, Soul Essences for different classes, and Combat techniques in this room.
Expedition Room is the place where you can dispatch a selected group of character to different locations. These characters will work there for a specified duration of time and return back with valuable resources. You can upgrade this facility to reduce expedition time, increase the quantity and quality of rewards, and more. Another fun feature is called the Photo Studio where players can take portrait or landscape pictures of their favourite characters. All of these facilities can be levelled up to increase their output and usage.
