Himeko Active and Passive Skills
Himeko is a 5-Star Fire elemental character that is following the Path of Erudition. Himeko is widely considered as one of the best characters to re-roll for and aim for in the beginning of the game as we write. This is mostly due to the fact that her abilities are very powerful AOE-targeted damage dealing skills that can disrupt enemies. Her talent ability Victory Rush states that Himeko launches an AOE-targeted attack every time enemies are broken 3 times. She gets 1 charge stack for each time an enemy is broken. Her active ability is another powerful AOE-targeted ability that can also regenerate 5 energy for each enemy defeated, making her a great supportive DPS.
Players can recruit Himeko only through getting lucky either on the Starter Warp or on the Normal Warp Banner as of now. It’s speculated that she might have a rate-up warp banner in the future, but nothing is yet confirmed. Her official in-game lore states as follows – “An adventurous scientist who encountered the Astral Express as a child when it got stranded in her home world. At that time, some existence in the Express revealed to this young girl a whole world outside of her own — the universe. Years later, Himeko finally repaired the train and began her journey to the stars, but she realized that this was only the beginning. On the Trailblaze path, she would need many more companions… Even though such companions may have different destinations in mind, they all gaze at the same starry sky.”
Here is a list of Himeko’s skills: –
Sawblade Tuning (Basic Ability)

Molten Detonation (Active Ability)

Heavenly Flare (Ultimate Ability)
Deals Fire DMG equal to 138/230/248% of Himeko’s ATK to all enemies. Himeko regenerates 5 extra Energy for each enemy defeated.
Victory Rush (Talent Ability)
When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, Himeko gains 1 point of Charge (max 3 points). If Himeko is fully Charged when an ally performs an attack, Himeko immediately performs 1 follow-up attack and deals Fire DMG equal to 70/140/154% of her ATK to all enemies, consuming all Charge points. At the start of the battle, Himeko gains 1 point of Charge.
Incomplete Combustion (Technique)
After using Technique, creates a dimension that lasts for 15 second(s). After entering battle with enemies in the dimension, there is a 100% base chance to increase Fire DMG taken by enemies by 10% for 2 turn(s). Only 1 dimension created by allies can exist at the same time.
Himeko’s Traces
Traces are special abilities associated with a hero. The character needs to be ascended in order to maximize the use of their Traces. At different ascension, traces can be upgraded. While some are major upgrades that enhance the abilities themselves, others are minor traces that provide stat boosts. Traces are of the following types:
- Basic Attack (Active)
- Skill Attack (Active)
- Ultimate Attack (Active)
- Talent (Passive)
- Technique (Passive)
Here is a list of Himeko’s traces –
Starfire (Major Trace) (Unlocks at A2)

Himeko Eidolon Bonuses
Players who have played Genshin Impact might be familiar with the Constellation system where the characters acquire different abilities when you feed their duplicate copies into them. Well, Honkai: Star Rail has the exact same system but it’s named “Eidolon” in the official in-game terminology. As you summon a duplicate character from the Warp system, they will be converted into an Eidolon for the character that can be enhanced up to 6 times. Each enhancement provides an upgraded ability or add-on effect to existing abilities. The 3rd and the 5th Eidolon enhancements always add base stat and ultimate ability boosts, respectively.
Eidolon’s are tough for free-to-play players to upgrade as they require a lot of summoning. Being a hero collector RPG, you will get many of them as you simply play and progress.
