Honor of Kings Equipment Guide to Build Efficiently
If you enjoy playing MOBA games, then Honor of Kings should be on your priority list! Boasting 100 million players globally, the game was originally released in China and later introduced to the rest of the world in 2023. Players can enjoy thematic 5v5 fast-paced matches and choose to play from over 70+ unique heroes. In this guide, we will be breaking down the core component that every hero needs – Equipment! Your itemization and builds matter a lot, especially if you’re planning to play competitively in the ranked game mode.
What is Equipment in Honor of Kings?
Honor of Kings includes an item mechanic that allows heroes to gain a huge advantage in combat. Equipment or goods are attributes that must be purchased using coins earned during the match by the players. This item will then buff the heroes’ stats, giving them a competitive advantage. As players progress through the game, they must acquire equipment from different tiers to obtain access to more powerful things. During battle, each player can have an inventory of up to six pieces of equipment.
Types of Equipment in Honor of Kings
There are multiple different types of equipment available in-game. Each hero is built differently, although it may not look like it at first glance. Some items are more suitable for certain types of heroes than all heroes. Let’s check out the different types of equipment you can choose to put on your hero:
Physical: Physical equipment increases the hero’s ability to deal more damage to adversaries and move faster when attacking. This equipment is beneficial to Marksman, Assassin, and Fighter heroes. The Doomsday, Bloodweeper, Axe of Torment, Eternity Blade, Shadow Ripper, and other weapons are among the most powerful available.
Magical: Magical equipment can increase a hero’s attack and damage. Magic equipment such as the Scepter of Reverberation, Savant’s Wrath, Mask of Agony, Twilight Stream, and Void Staff are particularly useful for heroes of the Mage and Support classes.
Defensive: Defensive equipment increases a hero’s defensive statistics, allowing them to withstand more damage and survive longer in battle. The defensive equipment will mostly aid Tank, Support, and Fighter heroes. The most powerful pieces of equipment are the Blazing Cape, Ominous Premonition, Glacial Buckler, Spikemail, Succubus Cloak, and others.
Movement: The heroes can move faster thanks to the movement equipment, allowing them to efficiently chase, flee, or roam around the map. This particular type of equipment can be useful for all types of heroes, but more so for attack damage carries, assassins, and mages. There are seven types of mobility equipment: Fortitude Boots, Resistance Boots, Tranquility Boots, Arcane Boots, Dexterity Boots, Deftness Boots, and Lightfoot Shoes.
Jungling: This equipment is perfect if you’re planning to play as the Jungler in the team. These items provide enhanced damage to PvE monsters on the map as well as objectives. Some notable final stage items include Runeblade, Rapacious Bite, Giant’s Grip, and Flaming Wrath.
Roaming: Items in this section are amazing for heroes who like to continuously roam the map in search of ganks and skirmishes. They are often equipped with supports as they tend to roam in tandem with the jungler and pick off enemies. Some notable items include Extreme Shadow, Guardian’s Glory, Wings of Redemption, Howling Emblem, and Starspring.

Tips to Craft your Own Customized Hero Build
We can’t emphasize enough on how important it is to build your hero the right way for optimal combat results. Try to purchase item parts in the process of finally purchasing the whole item. Do not save your gold earned in-game, and spend it wisely on the parts of items you want. Even some basic stats provided by these parts can aid you a lot in the early game. Depending on your class and playstyle, the itemization choices may vary. You can refer to our sample builds above, or just craft your own!
There is no such thing as a perfect build for any hero. It all depends on the player’s experience and abilities. To select the best-suited equipment, a detailed assessment of each hero’s attributes and capabilities is required. A player may only determine the equipment he requires after he understands what his hero is capable of doing on the battlefield. They can also refer to builds by many content developers or professional gamers.
Playing Honor of Kings on a bigger screen of your PC or Laptop with BlueStacks without worrying about battery drainage and smooth gameplay, is highly recommended.
