Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics of Isekai Saga: Awaken

Isekai Saga: Awaken is an Idle game wherein players need not manually intervene in all battles. It’s perfect for casual players who like to chase dopamine through summoning new heroes and putting them to test in strategic turn-based battles. The gameplay is quite auto-friendly, and players even have the option to speed it up by 3 times. At the core, the gameplay resembles other Idle games as the combat happens in a 6v6 setting. Players can choose up to 6 heroes from their roster to form a team. You can receive plenty of buffs depending on the type and faction of heroes you choose to bring out in battles.

Much like any other idle game, Isekai Saga: Awaken also lets players strategize their team composition by effectively switching hero positions. The gameplay itself is completely automated with AI (Artificial Intelligence) controlling the actions of your heroes and the enemies simultaneously. Your heroes have 2 types of bars – a green colored health bar and a yellow colored energy bar.

The green bar denotes the current health of the hero, and once it goes to 0, they will fall in battle. Your heroes and the enemy both will gain energy when they get attacked or deal damage, occasionally getting more energy for landing the killing blow. Once the energy is at full, they can cast their powerful ultimate skill to dominate enemies.

Idle Rewards

Isekai Saga: Awaken presents a perfect retreat for casual players, thanks to the immeasurable value provided by idle rewards. In the adventure mode, you should see a loot option saying “Claim All”. These are your idle rewards that regenerate automatically even when you are not playing the game. The quality of the rewards depends on how far you have progressed in the adventure mode. The quantity of the rewards depends on how long they have been stored. At any time, players can store only up to 24 hours worth of free idle rewards. You can choose to claim additional idle rewards for free the first time in a day, and for some diamonds later on.

Heroes

Players can summon and recruit different heroes from different factions. The game boasts a vast library of collectible heroes, each assigned a unique ability and element. Heroes also come in different rarities, with the highest being 5-star and the lowest being 3-stars. The higher the rarity of the hero, the stronger they are considered generally due to better base stats and more useful abilities. Each hero in the game can be summoned via a robust gacha system which we will talk about later in the guide. Heroes can also be acquired from different means such as events, redeem codes, and more in the form of shards.

Players can train their heroes to unlock their true potential. Each hero in the game can be assigned 1 of 4 different roles – Warrior, Tank, Controller, and Supporter. You can pick and choose which heroes you want to add to your line-ups. Further, each hero in the game is also assigned 1 of 4 elements – Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow. Each element in the game is stronger or weaker to the other. Choosing strong heroes with an elemental advantage against the enemy boss is recommended as your heroes will take less damage from their attacks, while dealing more damage with their own.

The World Tree

After clearing the initial 4 stages of chapter 1, you should unlock the gacha system of Isekai Saga: Awaken, called “World Tree”. As the name suggests, you can recruit new heroes from across the world via this system. Depending on the rarity of the hero, the probabilities vary. The overall rates of summoning different rarities of heroes are the following:

  • 3-Star hero – 80% chance of being summoned
  • 4-Star hero – 15% chance of being summoned
  • 5-Star hero – 5% chance of being summoned

There also exists a pity wherein players are guaranteed to get at least 1 S or S+ hero when they do 10 summons at a time. A secondary pity is also there in the form of recruitment points. Players get 1 point for each summon they make on the fated summoning banner. After reaching 1000 points, players can exchange these points for a 5-star S+ hero of their choice from the overall hero pool. Players can choose from different summoning banners, as each banner has their own speciality. At the time of writing, there exists 2 separate summoning banners:

  • Fated Summoning Banner – Players can summon 3-5 star heroes of all factions from this summoning banner. You can use Gold or Famed Orders to summon. Players can choose to summon 1 time or 10 times. This banner is a permanent banner and does not have an expiry date.
  • Faction Summoning Banner – Players can summon 3-5 star heroes of specified faction from this summoning banner. You can use Gold or Faction Orders to summon. Players can choose to summon 1 time or 10 times. This banner is a permanent banner and does not have an expiry date.
