As a new player, having a clear and concise understanding of each of these systems will help in making sensible decisions, and also achieve a higher rate of progression compared to your peers. We would recommend playing Isekai: Slow Life as a slow and soothing casual title instead of trying to go hardcore from the start, as the game is meant to be enjoyed as a PvE-only story-oriented title.
Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics
Isekai: Slow Life is a story-based game that has only PvE gameplay. It’s certainly not meant for the hardcore grinders that like to invest their time into the gameplay. The core combat experience is quite dull, compared to similar city-builder RPGs as it’s purely skip based where the player has no control over their characters. The combat is meant for the namesake, to give players a feel of increased power and to provide roadblocks for progression.
Players can summon and collect unique characters known as “Fellows”. These Fellows have a plethora of unique passive and active abilities that can aid them in battles. Some of these Fellows can be quite stronger than others, earning them their spots as top-tier characters in this game, at least when compared to others. Alternatively, they also provide some out of combat perks as Fellows can be assigned to the different buildings on your farmland. Additionally, Fellows can be upgraded in many different ways to increase their power and effectiveness both in and outside the battlefield.
Alongside the less interactive combat system, there is a super interactive and engaging city-building experience that grabs the attention of the players from the get-go. Players can design and customize their village according to their own choice. Of course, the usual course of constructing and upgrading buildings is always going to be there.
A new feature called “Hiring” allows the players to hire more employees for the buildings, that in turn increases the overall earnings and efficiency of the building. The end goal of Isekai: Slow Life is to create a comfortable and highly developed village that also has a strong economy to support its inhabitants.
Understanding the Use of Different Buildings
Isekai: Slow Life is a city-builder RPG at its core that allows the players to fully dive in to Isekai experience as they role-play as a cute mushroom teleported into a small village with a failing economy. Sounds a lot of information to digest? Worry not! In this section, we will be taking a look at all the different mechanics associated with the different buildings, and how to increase your overall yield to progress faster. Here are the different mechanics:
- Farm: The Farm is a unique building in Isekai: Slow Life that allows players to generate more Gold over time. They are used manually, usually by simply clicking over them or holding the farm to constantly generate more gold. Farms can be upgraded to increase their efficiency over time. Players need to micro-manage the building by clicking it all the time in order to generate more Gold.
- Inn: The Inn serves as one of the premier buildings in your village. Players can make guests stay at the Inn to show hospitality and provide different types of services. The Inn generates tons of Gold over time and acts as a source of passive income. Players also need to hire more employees to increase efficiency and meet the growing demand. Further, the Inn can also be upgraded to increase passive Gold earnings and housing capacity.
- Apothecary: The Apothecary is also one of the best passive income generating buildings in Isekai: Slow Life. All kinds of potions are sold in the Apothecary. Besides common medicines, new mixtures are researched here, so don’t mind if you hear any explosions. Players also need to hire more employees to increase efficiency of the building. Further, the Apothecary can also be upgraded to increase passive Gold earnings and potion creation quantities.
A good tip when it comes to getting a good start in building and upgrading your village is to use the Isekai: Slow Life redeem codes, which will score you lots of free resources and other items to give you a good start in your development efforts.
