Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is a turn-based RPG at its heart, enabling players to decipher tactics and construct strategies against powerful enemies. You are required to summon different types of sorcerers from the innate gacha system that unlocks post tutorial completion. Sorcerers come in different rarities and types, each having a significant impact in the game. The lowest rarity is R, and the highest rarity is SSR. The higher the rarity of the character, the more powerful they are due to better base stats and superior set of abilities. 

Even if you are unable to get an SSR character, do not fret as the game follows hardcore RPG mechanics that allow you to train even the lowest rarity characters to make them stronger. The game has an affinity system wherein each character is assigned a basic element according to which their attacks and abilities are stronger/weaker/neutral against other enemies. The elements are as follows:

• Green – Stronger against blue element but weaker against red element
• Red – Stronger against green element but weaker against blue element
• Yellow – Neutral against all other elements

Players can take up to 4 main characters and 1 backup character in battle. You get the option to choose your formation before the battle even starts, allowing you to strategize against any formidable foes. The battles take place in a round order wherein you get to select the abilities of your team members in advance. The team which has the higher CP (combat power) takes the first turn. Each character on your team takes their turn and uses the ability you designated. For quality-of-life purposes, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade also has 2X battle speed and auto battling.

Learn about the Different UI Elements

As a mobile game, navigating through the menus of Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade can be a hassle, especially if you’re unaware about what any of them mean. In this section, we have decoded all the UI systems and explained their importance to your progression:

• Enhancement – This will lead you to a menu where you may customize your characters and Recollection Bits, as well as create multiple teams to play in the game’s various stages and modes.
• Album – Here you will find a variety of scenarios and stories, among other things. This covers the main story, event stories, side stories, and a gallery of game trailers.

• Menu – The Menu panel, located on the right-hand side, allows you to access the Store to purchase Cubes, alter your Options, check your Friend List, and view the in-game News, among other things. 

Learn about the Different Currencies

Being a live-service mobile game, it’s not unusual to see so many different currencies. While many of them might seem insignificant, they usually play a big role either in summoning related activities or character development. Let’s take a brief look at all the important currencies in Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade:

JP – JP is the game’s fundamental currency. It is required to level up characters and their Skills, as well as Recollection Bits, and to power up characters via Grading (which will be discussed later in this tutorial).

Cubes – Cubes (Kaiju in Japanese) are the game’s gacha money. You can use these to conduct Draws on various gacha banners to get the characters you want.

AP – AP is the game’s stamina system. As with most gacha games, how much you can play the questing/adventure mode is restricted by your stamina. Most game modes demand some amount of AP to play, and once you’ve depleted it, you must wait until it regenerates. Your maximum AP is governed by your player rank. Players can also choose to get more AP instantly by using AP tokens or Cubes.
