Mighty Doom Weapons Tier List - The Best Weapons in the Game
Just like its predecessors, the new Mighty Doom offers its players a lot of variety in the form of different weapons and tools that you can unlock, equip, and bring to the battlefield. Each of these weapons, in turn, will radically alter the way you approach combat, and will essentially define your build based on what you currently have equipped. As such, whether you enjoy hanging back and pelting your enemies with projectiles and explosives from a distance, or like getting up close and personal with devastating shotgun blasts, there’s a lot of variety to be had in this game.

However, just like with games that give us liberty to choose our equipment, there’s a lot to consider when it comes to gearing up in Mighty Doom. More specifically, which are the best weapons in Mighty Doom, and which ones are better off leaving behind? In this Mighty Doom weapons tier list, we’re going to explore these questions and, hopefully, help you decide which weapons are the best for any given situation.
The Best Mighty Doom Weapons Tier List
Mighty Doom is a big departure from the other games in the franchise, starting with the fact that it’s a top-down shooter rather than an FPS. However, while there are many differences when it comes to the gameplay and perspective, you can still unlock and collect a variety of weapons in Mighty Doom, most of which you can obtain by opening chests from the store.
The weapon collecting aspect in Mighty Doom is essentially a gacha system, revolving around crates (loot boxes) that you must pay premium currency to open. These boxes will yield a prize pulled from a large pool of items of varying qualities, which can be either a weapon or a piece of armor. Some of these chests also contain tokens, which are used for upgrading your gear.
Like with any gacha system, you never know what you’re going to get from opening these chests. Moreover, the types and rarities of weapons and gear that you can get vary from chests to chests. Case in point, there are three main types of chests, which are the following:
- Equipment Crate: Costs 70 Crystals and contains only armor pieces of the following rarities:
-
- 90% odds of getting a Common piece
- 10% odds of getting an Uncommon piece
- Weapon Crate: Costs 80 Crystals and contains only weapons of the following rarities:
-
- 90% odds of getting a Common piece
- 10% odds of getting an Uncommon piece
- Special Crate: By far the best crate, at a cost of 260 Crystals each, but containing both armor and weapons of up to Epic rarity, with the following rates:
-
- 80% odds of getting an Uncommon piece
- 15% odds of getting a Rare piece
- 5% odds of getting an Epic piece
As you can see, obtaining pieces of the highest rarity is a difficult task, and it’ll probably be a while before you obtain one for yourself. However, it’s important to mention that if you purchase the 10x Special Crates bundle from the store, not only do you save 200 Crystals, but you also have a guaranteed chance of obtaining at least one Rare item. As such, we strongly recommend saving up 2,400 Crystals every time, in order to make use of this generous offer.
When it comes to the tier list itself, it’s difficult to classify these weapons into tiers, as they are all viable and effective with the right builds. As such, on this occasion, we’ll only be giving our personal opinions, so that you can make up your own mind regarding the best weapons in Mighty Doom.
S Tier Mighty Doom Weapons
These are the weapons that are not only very powerful, but they’re also quite easy to use on most occasions, making them a safe option for clearing out enemies without exposing yourself too much to damage.
- Unmaker
- Ballista
- Gauss Cannon
- BFG 9000
- Plasma Rifle
A Tier Mighty Doom Weapons
Just like in the S tier, these weapons have great clearing potential, but they put the user at a larger risk, mainly due to the way they work.
- Super Shotgun
- Crucible
- Rocket Launcher
- Combat Shotgun
B Tier Mighty Doom Weapons
These guns are also great and can net you good results if used correctly. However, we think they aren’t as strong as others, both to the specifics of how they work, as well as due to the risk of using them.
- Heavy Cannon
- Chain Gun
- Burst Rifle
- Frag Grenade
C Tier Mighty Doom Weapons
Like the other weapons, these ones are easily usable, but they pale in comparison to the others we’ve been mentioning so far. Still, these can get you good results when used correctly, such as when targeting elemental weaknesses, and because there really are no bad weapons in Mighty Doom.
- Flame Belch
- Acid Spit
- Arc Grenade
- Ice Bomb
And that’s it for our Mighty Doom weapons tier list. Of course, depending on your armor build and upgrades, your mileage will definitely vary. However, as we’ve mentioned several times, there are no bad weapons in Mighty Doom, and this list is just our personal opinions on which ones could possibly be the best, according to the criteria we explained above.
