Monster GO! is an amazing portrait-oriented real-time adventure game that encompasses a world wherein monsters and humans live together in harmony. Due to recent turmoil, the monsters have declared war on humanity! Protect your kingdom by fortifying defense systems and assemble an army of strong troops and heroes to lead them in battles. In this article, we have provided some helpful tips and tricks to assist you in your progression! 

Tip #1. Keep Upgrading Walls and Troops 

The best defense is offense! You might have heard this quote in many movies and tv shows but it actually rings true for games like Monster GO. Players can increase the base health and defense of their walls which the monsters attack. This allows fortification of defense and allows you more time to kill more monsters while they’re busy hacking away at the walls. Naturally, you should also focus on adding more troops and heroes to your line-ups in order to increase DPS output and range of hits. 

Upgrading these elements is quite easy in Monster GO as you can do so in one tap! On the right-hand side of the battle screen, you will see a blue button to add archers in your line-up. On the left-hand side, you will see another blue button to upgrade your defenses. A healthy combination of both coupled with strong hero selection can yield amazing results for a new account.

Tip #2. Choosing the Right Heroes

Much like you can upgrade troops and defenses, you can also recruit new and powerful heroes to lead the charge! Doing so increases your potency of damage output, as well as gives you access to unique active/passive abilities of heroes. Each hero is unique and boasts a unique playstyle. Forge your own playstyle or simply follow a proven one, the choice is yours to make. For example, you get Fran pretty quick into the tutorial. She can summon royal guards to help eliminate enemies and act as a distraction for monsters while your archers keep pummelling them.

Tip #3. Focusing on the Adventure Missions

Much like any other live-service game, Monster GO also features a unique worldview divided into multiple chapters and stages. Each stage features new types of monsters and players can earn luxurious rewards upon first time clears. You will also get rewards for completing certain chapter quests that present themselves on the left-hand side. 

Tip #4. Complete the Progression Quests!

Monster GO can be quite confusing and challenging for many players, mainly due to the massive landscape and systems set in place. If you’re a beginner, things might get tricky and you can splatter your resources in all directions, essentially resulting in waste. Instead, we would recommend using your resources only to complete the progression-related quests that pop up on the bottom left-hand side. They are denoted in blue color and turn green when completed. Simply tap on them to collect the rewards.

Majority of the quests are easy and simple to do. Overall, they act as a tutorial for players, guiding them on what to do next in game. Some of these quests include levelling up heroes, increasing archer strength, increasing wall defense, upgrading defense turrets, and more. Each quest does not take more than 1-2 minutes to complete. Plus, they offer juicy rewards upon completion. A win-win situation for all!

Tip #5. Claim the AFK Rewards

Monster GO also has many features alike Idle/AFK games such as AFK rewards. You can get free resources and gear as part of AFK rewards even when you’re not playing the game. These rewards and their quality can be improved as you progress through the main adventure mode. Ensure that you are actively claiming them on a daily basis by clicking on the hot balloon in the middle of your city.
