The Best Play Together Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Play Together is an interesting game that combines tons of social interactions with countless fun minigames and tasks, as well as with the freedom to come and go as you please and make your own entertainment as you progress. This sandbox game lets you run around a variety of gathering hubs where numerous players congregate to meet, chat, and have fun. In these places, they can also interact with NPCs to run errands and complete tasks in exchange for currency, which they can then use to purchase clothing, accessories, valuable commodities like vehicles, and even housing. And when it comes to the latter, players can also purchase a wide assortment of decorations and furniture to give their homes their own unique flair.
With that being said, if you’re more of a traditional gamer, you may find yourself lost in Play Together, considering that there’s little in the way of guidance to help you get your bearings. For this reason, we’ve decided to create this beginner’s guide with lots of neat tips and tricks to help you along your way.
If you’re just starting in Play Together, keep these tips in mind.
Welcome to Kaia Island!
After you finish creating and customizing your character, you’ll be thrown into Kaia Island, the game’s main meeting hub. This island is separated into several sub-islands, which are divided by language. In this sense, if your game is set to English, you’ll be taken to English Town, and so on. However, you don’t really have to worry about what island you get since they’re all the same.
Kaia Island is home to a variety of shops, NPCs, and other interesting locales. Some of the facilities in this place include:
- Home Party: Check a list of players who are hosting parties in their homes and visit them.
- Game Center: Get access to a variety of minigames, including a Fall Guys style gauntlet of challenges against other players. The winners get tons of currency.
- Furniture Shop: Purchase a variety of furniture and decor for your home.
- Subway: Travel back to the residential area of Home Town, where you can find different buildings, as well as player housing, including your own home.
- Mart: Purchase an assortment of foodstuffs to eat or cook.
These are just a few of the most important buildings in Kaia Island. And while you won’t need to visit them too often at the beginning, it’s important to familiarize yourself since you’ll be using them later on. The Game Center, in particular, is a popular building since it houses the Game Party mode, which many players enjoy.
However, the endgame for most users is to upgrade from the initial box home into a much bigger house, and fill it with all sorts of decorations and create unique designs. In this regard, the possibilities are virtually endless as there are tons of items to choose from in this category.
In more ways than one, most of the fun in Play Together is created by the player.
Acquiring Currency at the Beginning
All players start with a basic tank top, jean shorts, and flip flops, which is a very basic and “default” style of appearance. For this reason, one of the priorities for many users is to switch into a more unique outfit. Sadly, you start off with no cash or currency, so you’ll need to grind for a bit before you can switch to a new look.
Luckily, acquiring Stars, the main form of currency is quite simple, if not a bit repetitive. The absolute fastest way to do so is by completing the pizza delivery task, which is available in the pizza shop. This mission is repeatable for as many times as you wish, so you can easily use it to grind for money. However, to speed up the process, make sure you always click on the “3x reward” button before receiving your payment—while you’ll have to sit through a 30-second video, you’ll get triple the cash. And if you’re playing Play Together on PC with BlueStacks, you could simply minimize the emulator to the background while the video plays, and watch something else in the meantime.
Speed Up the Grind With Vehicles
While the main and most basic form of getting around in Play Together is on foot, you can acquire a variety of vehicles in this game, which will significantly increase your movement speed. And though these vehicles often cost a lot of money to acquire, you can get one for free for completing the beginner missions, which should be one of your priorities as soon as you start the game.
Unlocking the free skateboard in Play Together will make your life much easier by allowing you to zoom through the plaza much quicker. And you can also use this vehicle to speed up the pizza mission, letting you make more cash in a shorter period.
Get the skateboard. ‘Nuff said.
The Beginner Missions
And speaking of the beginner missions. Aside from giving you quick access to a free skateboard after you complete all seven tasks, these beginner missions give you an introduction to the game’s mechanics, which in itself is reason enough to do them.
These missions will take you fishing, working part-time in the pizza shop, participating in minigames, attending classes at school, and much more, all of which are important aspects of this game. If anything, aside from giving you cash and other resources, these missions will give you an idea of all you can do in this game, whether for fun, or for making money, or both.
The Game Party Mode
One of the most fun and entertaining aspects in Play Together is undoubtedly the Game Party mode. In fact, if you’re not playing it for the chatting and social interactions, there’s a good chance that you’re playing it just for this.
The Game party mode consists of a series of challenges where you compete against other players in order to eliminate each other. Each level consists of challenges like foot races, obstacle courses, and other fun levels, in which the losers get eliminated and the survivors pass onto the next rounds. In the end, only one player can win, and to the victor go the spoils, as the winner gets the most amount of cash as well as bragging rights.
Though Game Party is a slow way of getting money in Play Together, it’s also one of the most entertaining aspects of the game.
As a sandbox game, most of the fun in Play Together comes from the players’ interactions with each other as well as with the many different elements in the game. In this regard, this title does a fantastic job of keeping players hooked with its challenges and game modes, while also giving them enough freedom to create their own little world in Kaia Island.
