What are Currencies in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

But for those unaware, consider these currencies as your virtual money that be spent in different shops to avail items. In online games, the developers are keen to reward players these currencies to give them some staple income to do summons, powering up cards, fighting enemies, and more. In Pokémon TCG Pocket, their importance is multi-purpose as players need to make strategic choices on how they should spend them as they are limited in nature. 

Poke Gold

Poke Gold is the game’s paid currency, which is purchased with real money. You may use Poke Gold to buy cosmetics and bundles in the in-game shop, as well as Pack Hourglasses. The best items to purchase with this currency remains to be exclusive accessories, pack stamina, and wonder stamina. Items and accessories that require Poke Gold to purchase can be found under the Poke Gold tab in the Shop’s Limited Time / Events section. These items may change after a specific amount of time, so get any items you like as soon as possible.

Shop Ticket

A Shop Ticket is an in-game currency that can be used to buy accessories and promo cards. Completing objectives, clearing Solo Battle challenges, and receiving gratitude from other players will all earn you Shop Tickets. 

Special Shop Ticket

A Special store Ticket is a one-of-a-kind store currency that can be used to purchase exclusive cosmetics from the in-game shop. You can obtain Special Shop Tickets by recycling duplicate 1-star, 2-star, 3-star, and gold crown cards. 

Premium Ticket

A Premium Ticket is a currency that can only be obtained by players who have a Premium Pass and can be used to purchase exclusive cards and cosmetics from the in-game shop. You can earn Premium Tickets by completing Premium Missions, which are only available to Premium Pass subscribers.

Emblem Ticket

Emblem Tickets are another type of store currency that can be used to purchase themed emblems displaying Pokemon from an expansion’s booster packs. Emblems appear next to a player’s profile during matches. Completing Themed Collections and Dex Missions will fetch you Emblem Tickets. 

Event Shop Ticket

An Event Shop Ticket is available at select events and can be exchanged for event products in the shop. Event Shop Tickets can be obtained through event tasks and may also be offered as Bonus Picks for Wonder Pick events. 

Advance Ticket

An Advance Ticket is an item that was introduced with the game’s global release. Players can receive this item as a gift by simply logging in between October 30, 2024 and January 30, 2025. It is unclear what this cash is used for, although it is possible that it will be utilized for a future event in the game.

Pack Hourglass

Pack Hourglasses are used to immediately refresh your pack stamina, allowing you to open booster packs in the game without waiting. Pack Hourglasses can be obtained by completing certain objectives and levels. They can also be directly purchased by using Poke Gold, or via microtransactions. 

Pack Points

Pack Points are used to recruit cards from an expansion, which is one method for obtaining a chase card from a set. Simply opening booster packs earns you Pack Points. Consider them like pity in similar gacha games. Players can get 1 pack point for every pack hourglass they open. 

Wonder Hourglasses

Wonder Hourglasses are used to quickly replenish Wonder Stamina, which is depleted when Wonder Picking. Wonder Hourglasses can be obtained by completing specific quests and leveling up. 

Wonder Stamina

Wonder Stamina is a gauge used in Wonder Picks. This meter replenishes slowly over time, but can be accelerated with Wonder Hourglass. 

Rewind Watch

The Rewind Watch is another gadget that may be used to select expired Wonder Picks from the Wonder Pick menu. You can earn Rewind Watches as a level-up reward. 

Shinedust

Shinedust is used to create cosmetic and battle Flairs for cards, giving them unique visual effects. The primary way to obtain Shinedust is to open packs and find duplicates, which will become more prevalent as you accumulate cards.
