RAID: Shadow Legends – Aleksandr the Sharpshooter Champion Guide
RAID: Shadow Legends, the popular turn-based RPG developed by Plarium is running a collaboration with popular esports pro player Oleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev. The collaboration included the player’s legendary grade champion along with some great rarity equipment being given for free to all players who log in to the game for 7 consecutive days during the period of 1st December 2021 – 22nd January 2022.
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter is a Magic Affinity single target attack type champion who excels at landing debuffs and performs the best against enemies from the Orc and Ogryn Tribe factions as his skills do bonus things against them. He is not a game-breaking or the best legendary champion coming to the game but considering he’s “free” as a login champion, he performs decently well especially with the recent buffs he got pre-release which increased his damage multipliers and a chance to freeze on his first skill. He is a champion who just needs to be built with high damage and accuracy as he does have many skills that rely on accuracy. We will discuss more his skills and builds in this guide for the new legendary champion Aleksandr the Sharpshooter.
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter Champion Skills
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter is a great champion for new players to get them started and used to the various debuffs needed for dungeons in the early game. For example, the AOE targeted defense down debuff for 2 turns is a great ability that Aleksandr the Sharpshooter has on his 2nd ability Spraydown. Usually, early game players would farm for the farmable Warmaiden for this skill but now they will be getting it from a legendary champion.
His 1st ability Arctic Warfare is a single target damaging ability which has a 50% chance to inflict a Freeze debuff for 2 turns. This skill gets an extra 25% chance to freeze if used against champions from the Orc and Ogryn Tribes. His 2nd ability Spraydown is an AOE targeted damaging ability that targets all enemies and has a 60% chance of inflicting them with defense down debuff for 2 turns. This skill will also place a Weaken debuff for 2 turns with a 75% chance against enemies from Orc and Ogryn tribes only. This skill is a great one for new players but is on a 5-turn cooldown while booking him early is a bad option since it takes legendary books which are hard to come by. His 3rd skill Born to Win is a single targeted damaging skill that deals massive damage to the enemy and removes all buffs from the target. If he uses this against enemies from the Orc and Ogryn tribes faction, then he will remove the buffs first before attacking. This skill is a great DPS skill but is on a 5 turn cooldown again. Lastly, he provides a good Accuracy aura which is great for him.
Here is a list of his skills: –
Arctic Warfare (Active)
Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 50% chance of placing a [Freeze] debuff for 1 turn. The chance increases to 75% against enemies from the Orc and Ogryn Tribe Factions.
Spray down (Active)
Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns. Also has a 75% chance of placing a [Weaken] debuff against enemies from the Orc and Ogryn Tribe Factions for 2 turns.
Born to Win (Active)
Attacks 1 enemy. Removes all buffs from the target. Removes all buffs from the target before attacking when targeting enemies from the Orc and Ogryn Tribe Factions.
AURA
Increases Ally ACC in all Battles by 60
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter Mastery Guide
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter is a great single targeted nuker who fits the role in early game players Arena teams. However, he currently feels weak compared to other champions who can do what he does and some more. His chance to freeze is super low and his skills are reliant on champions from the Orc and Ogryn Tribes factions. There is no particular use for him unless a very early game nuker or a Defense down set up champion for your other AOE nukers to deal massive damage. Players are free to choose the builds and masteries they prefer depending on the type of content they are planning to use this champion in. For example, if you are planning to use Aleksandr the Sharpshooter in PVP content, then you would like to go for more damage-oriented masteries like Helmsmasher. If you are planning to use Aleksandr the Sharpshooter for dungeons or PvE content like Doom Tower and Clan boss, then we recommend going for masteries like Warmaster.

Aleksandr the Sharpshooter Team Building and Synergies
Aleksandr the Sharpshooter is a DPS champion that can also be used for his utility as a Defense down debuffer to set up your AOE damaging carries. He currently feels weaker than other legendries, even compared to Ninja which was another collaboration unit like him. We recommend building him with the sets mentioned above and slotting him as a utility sub-DPS champion that can set up your other champions to deal damage. For the sake of this guide, we will keep champions that are free-to-play friendly and available. Let’s see some of the teams we can see him fit well in: –
- Arbiter + Apothecary + Aleksandr the Sharpshooter + Kael (F2P Arena Cleave)
- Spirithost + Apothecary + Aleksandr the Sharpshooter + Kael (F2P Arena Cleave)
- Aleksandr the Sharpshooter + Apothecary + Coldheart + Arbiter + Kael (Dragons Den Dungeon)
- Aleksandr the Sharpshooter + Arbiter + Madame Serris + Armina (Arena Cleave)
