RAID: Shadow Legends – Maranix Legendary Champion Fusion Guide
New champions are an integral part of RAID: Shadow Legends, the turn-based RPG by Plarium which is known for its world-class graphics and notorious advertisements. The latter half of 2022 has been quite the feast for players of the game as the developers have pushed up and beyond their boundaries with new dungeons, a new style of events, new content in the form of Hydra Clan Boss, and much more. Of course, the monthly tradition of fusion events also continues! For the month of October, Plarium is offering their newest AOE-damage dealer Maranix completely free for all players through a special classic fusion event. Before we start the guide, we must address that the fusion event has already started on 4th October 2022 and runs till 19th October 2022.
In traditional/classic fusion events, players do not get the fragments of the legendary champion but instead, build up the rare champions from scratch to fuse into Epic champions. Players need to further level and ascend 4 copies of the fused Epic champion to be able to finally fuse Maranix, a 5-Star base legendary champion. In this fusion event, the rare champion required will be Prosecutor while the Epic champion required will be Tomoe. This will be an in-depth guide on the various ways available for players to obtain the different rare champions and fuse the legendary champion for October 2022 – Maranix.
Maranix is a great legendary champion from the Dark elves faction that can act as a nuker for your team. Scaling with Attack, Maranix has a very high base Attack of 1487 which only ramps up her damage more. Maranix is a Hex debuff dependent champion which was considered a bad thing at the start of the year when few champions that could apply Hex were present. However, in October 2022, most of the new champions that are released make use of the Hex debuff which increases the utility of Maranix in all content. Maranix’s abilities seem to be specifically targeted toward Classic Arena and Tag Team Arena. Her AOE-targeted damaging skill can ignore Unkillable and Shield buffs that counter the likes of Leorius the Proud and Skullcrushers. Maranix seems to be extremely reliant on high gear quality and does not seem to be new player friendly. She needs a ton of Accuracy and Attack to work with, for starters. We recommend players fuse Maranix if they have the resources and time to go for it.
During this Fusion event, Plarium provides 16 rare champions in multiple Events and Tournaments at certain point requirements. In some events and tournaments, even the Epic champion can be found but at quite a high point requirement. Players will then have to manually level and ascend each of the Rare champions to fuse them into the epic champion. Further, they have to level and ascend the Epic champions to 5 stars level 50 to Fuse Maranix. Keep in mind that these events and tournaments will take a lot of your time if you’re going to manually play the game since Plarium only provides 30 instances of Auto-Battles per day. But don’t worry, you can easily bypass the hard grinding by simply using the BlueStacks macro recorder to record your runs and keep re-running it.
Maranix Champion Skills
Maranix is a new legendary grade Force affinity champion from the Dark Elves faction. Maranix is an Attack-based champion which means that her skills and abilities deal more damage the more Attack she has. Maranix’s base Attack is 1487 which is pretty high compared to other champions of similar grade. We recommend building Maranix with Savage, Cruel, Lethal, and Perception artifact sets with Critical Hit Rate%/ Attack%, Critical Hit Damage%/ Attack% and Attack% as main stats. Try to focus on getting Attack%, Critical Hit Rate%, Critical Hit Damage%, and Speed as sub-stats.
Here is a list of Maranix’s skills: –

Maranix Fusion Event Guide
Maranix is a traditional style of fusion where players need to fuse him by having 4 epic champions at level 50 and ascending fully. Like many times, players require 4 copies of a single new Epic champion – Tomoe which can further be fused with the help of 4 new rare champions. All of the rare champions and 1 Epic champion can be found in various Events and Tournaments and can be collected by reaching certain milestones in them. Pretty simple, right? It is simple; however, we will give a detailed guide on how to manage your resources to obtain enough resources to fuse them. Let’s see who the new Epic champion required for fusing Maranix is: –
- Tomoe (Force Affinity)
Further, players will need 16 copies of the new rare champion to fuse them into the above-mentioned Epic champion. The new Rare champion is:
- Prosecutor (Spirit Affinity)
We will now list the various events and tournaments through which you will be able to obtain copies of these new champions.
Here is the list: –
- Dragon Tournament (Oct 4th – 7th)
- Champion Training Event (Oct 4th – 9th)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1 (Oct 5th – 8th)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1 (Oct 5th – 8th)
- Summon Rush Tournament (Oct 7th – 9th)
- Ice Golem Tournament (Oct 7th – 9th)
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1 (Oct 7th – 9th)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2 (Oct 10th – 13th)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2 (Oct 10th – 13th)
- Fire Knight Tournament (Oct 11th – 14th)
- Champion Training Tournament (Oct 11th – 15th)
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2 (Oct 13th – 16th)
- Champion Chase Tournament (Oct 14th – 17th)
- Spider Tournament (Oct 14th – 17th)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 3 (Oct 15th – 18th)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3 (Oct 15th – 18th)
Preparation for these Events and Tournaments
As we can see from the timings of these Events and Tournaments presented by Plarium that many of these collide with each other. If you are confused by what some of the terms mean or where some of the locations of the dungeons and events are, here is a helpful guide. Now doing every event and tournament 1 by 1 will drain your resources very quickly, and you will be left with insufficient rare champions to fuse one copy of the Epic champion. You might need to spend gems to refill energy for completing the remaining events and tournaments.
Careful planning and judiciously using your resources will make this fusion event a little bit simpler. Take a look at our preparation process for Maranix Fusion here: –
4th – 19th October 2022 –
- Dragon Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at 2250 Points)
- Champion Training Event: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at 9350 points)
For the first time in the history of these fusion events, Plarium has switched up the mechanics of how the first 2 events and tournament combination is presented. The Dragon tournament is not being accompanied by the Dungeon Divers event, although, not much far away from it. Just a day’s gap between the two. We recommend waiting out 1 day and not starting right on by power farming the dragon’s dungeon. For new players who are not aware, Dragon’s tournament is easily completed by farming the dragon dungeon. The number of points is rewarded according to the quality and quantity of the artifacts that are redeemed by defeating the dragon boss and obtaining the rewards. It’s generally observed that farming Stage 20 of the Dragon dungeon is better compared to Stage 25 for the point per energy ratio. It will roughly take 120 runs of Dragon’s Dungeon on Stage 20 to get 2250 points for the tournament, amounting to 2250 energy consumed.
Champion Training Events are usually simple to complete if you have a ton of energy and resources saved up as the rewards are divided into 2 parts at different milestones. For the Maranix fusion event, this does not seem to be the case as many players are noticing the extreme spike of points for the 1st milestone at 9350 points! Just for a Rare champion. This can be quite the deal breaker for many players as they might not have the resources to complete other events and tournaments in the future. Tread very carefully and only participate in this event if you plan on completing the entire event. These events are dependent on everything related to making your champions stronger. Players get points for leveling champions, promoting champions, and ascending champions. As simple as that.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at 2850 Points)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at 4000 Points)
Dungeon Divers event is as straightforward as they come with players needing to collect artifacts from any source of the game. The best source of obtaining high quality artifacts are naturally the dungeons – Dragon Dungeon, Spiders Den, Fire Knights, and Ice Golem dungeon. The higher the quality of the artifact, the more points are awarded for the event. We highly recommend farming the Dragons dungeon to get the most benefit out of both the event and tournament.
Artifact Enhancement events are simple but drain a lot of silver resources. We haven’t had a new fusion in a while so if you were clever, you should have enough resources by regularly using your energy daily. If you were not prepared, then you might have to spend your precious energy to farm silver coins for upgrading your equipment. Here are a few tips to achieve those 2500 points:-
- You can pre-roll your artifacts till Lvl 7/11/15 and then simply spend silver to upgrade to the next level as you get points only after upgrading artifacts to LVL 4,8,12 and 16 with the highest points being given at 6-star LVL 16 artifact upgrades.
- You can level up 3 6-Star artifacts to level 16 to easily complete this event in a go
- Save up to roughly 6 million silver per artifact enhancement event, as this amount is roughly what it takes to complete these events.
However, if you have enough silver or artifacts upgraded to a certain level, then feel free to use them to complete this event. It also takes a lot of time because the general upgrading speed for artifacts is very slow, and it fails many times as well. However, if you use BlueStacks Eco mode, you can significantly speed up this process and save so much time!
- Summon Rush Tournament: Prosecutor Champion/ Tomoe Champion (Obtained at X/X Points)
Summon Rush tournament is very straightforward as well, the more you summon the more points you get. The quality of shards also hampers the number of points you get. The quality of champions, however, does not affect the number of points obtained in this event. Here are the points received depending on the quality of the shard: –
Mystery Shard: 1 Point
Ancient Shard: 20 Points
Void Shard: 100 Points
Sacred Shard: 500 Points
- Ice Golem Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
Simply farm the Ice Golem dungeon in the Ice Golem tournament. Do not throw away your energy at anything else other than farming Stage 20 of the Ice Golem dungeon for the maximum point per energy ratio. It would roughly take you around 2250 energy to meet the expected 2250 point requirement for the milestone. Ice Golem tournament rewards players according to the quality and quantity of artifacts obtained from the Ice Golem dungeon. Obtaining your 5th copy of Prosecutor champion should make you ready to fuse your first copy of Tomoe as well. During the event, players can also expect Super Raids for the Ice Golem dungeon. Super Raids is a great feature where players can earn double the rewards by consuming double energy but not playing the battle 2 times. Players can turn this feature on by check-marking the little box next to “Super Raids” before starting the battle. It’s a great time-saving feature that reduces your time consumed by 50%.
Classic Arena Takedown tournaments require you to fight and win in the Classic Arena Takedown game mode. The point requirement is still unknown but looking at past fusion events, it should be around 330-380 points. The milestone value adjusts according to your current rank and player power. The higher the rank, the more points players get per battle won in the Classic Arena game mode. Keep in mind that only victories count towards the overall point count for the tournament. These victories should be achieved only in battles that are fought by the players and not by their Arena defense.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
The 2nd iteration of the Dungeon divers event. The core strategy remains to be the same – raid artifacts from dungeons. We recommend waiting 1 day after the Ice Golem tournament has started for this iteration of the Dungeon divers event to start. Players can get points for both the event and the tournament just by farming the Ice Golem dungeon. As always, make sure to get to the 1st milestone for the champion and ignore the rest. Keep in mind that artifacts obtained from everywhere in the game count towards points. There’s highly likely a chance that your points will remain unfulfilled for the milestone while the Ice Golem tournament will be finished in terms of milestones. To get the remaining points, we recommend farming XP for your champions in the campaign stages.
Artifact Enhancement events are as simple as they get in RAID: Shadow Legends. The absolute definition of resource matters the most. Players require tons of silver coins to be able to upgrade their artifacts. By now, you should have an inventory of useless artifacts by constantly farming all those dungeon stages and campaign stages for past events and tournaments. Sell them to obtain more Silver and use that silver to level up the artifacts that you desire the most. Remember, the higher the quality of the artifact, the more points you get for upgrading it.
- Fire Knight Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
- Champion Training Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
Fire Knight tournament demands players to constantly farm the Fire Knights dungeon. We recommend farming Stage 20 of the Fire Knights dungeon for the best energy-to-point ratio. The milestone is expected to be at 2250 points like the rest of the dungeon-related tournaments.
Champion Training tournaments are like Champion training events, but they are presented in a tournament fashion. In tournaments, players are pitted against each other in different groups. Each group consists of 100 players. The top 2 players of each group get an extra Prosecutor champion. Now, we are not recommending players to get to the top of the group as free-to-play players you need to save resources. Players should aim to just get the milestone reward of 1 x Prosecutor champion. Here are some of our tips and tricks to complete this tournament efficiently:
- Always remember to level up your chickens before using them to promote your champions.
- Do not waste brews to level up champions who are already at a high level as the efficiency of brews decreases drastically if used on high-level champions.
- Use Mystery shards to generate more fodder if you are out of low-rank champions.
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
- Champion Chase Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
Classic Arena takedown tournaments are only a matter of time and classic arena tokens to complete. Players can easily achieve the low milestone targets of these tournaments without spending gems. Simply use the daily classic arena tokens given to you. Make sure to not fight with players having a higher player power than you since that determines most of their strength and the artifact quality of their champions.
The Champion Chase tournament rewards the players for the quality of champions obtained, unlike the Summon Rush which rewards the players based on the quality of shards opened. Players can make use of their saved champion fragments and summon them for massive points in this tournament. Here are the points awarded to players for the quality of champions obtained during the tournament:
Uncommon/Common Champion – 1 Point
Rare Champion – 10 Points
Epic Champion – 250 Points
Legendary Champion – 500 Points
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 3: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
- Spider Tournament: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
The best combo any player would want for an event and tournament! Simply farm Stage 20 of the Spider’s dungeon for the best possible energy-to-point ratio. Raid some high-quality artifacts! For the remaining points in the Dungeon divers event, we recommend farming the campaign stages to get some Silver in preparation for the last event.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3: Prosecutor Champion (Obtained at X Points)
Silver we need, Silver we scream! Maximize your artifact upgrading process as this is the last event for the fusion.
Fusing Maranix
Maranix is fused after players submit 4 copies of Tomoe who are 5-Star Ascended and Level 50. For each copy of Tomoe, players need to submit 4 copies of Prosecutor which are 4-Star Ascended and Level 40. For all these feats, the players will need the following potions and chickens:
- Lesser Affinity Potions: 160 Spirit
- Greater Affinity Potions: 64 Spirit, 80 Force
- Superior Affinity Potions: 24 Spirit, 24 Force
- 80 Lesser Arcane Potions
- 108 Greater Arcane Potions
- 12 Superior Arcane Potions
- 48 x 3-Star Chickens
- 16 x 4-Star Chickens
For leveling champions, we recommend farming 12-3 brutal stage repeatedly or using your brews to level them.
