RAID: Shadow Legends – Sigmund the Highshield Fusion Guide
Plarium has finally announced their new champion available for fusion, Sigmund the Highshield, a legendary grade Magic affinity champion from the Banner Lords Faction. Sigmund the Highshield is this month’s fusion for RAID: Shadow Legends, the popular turn-based RPG from Plarium. This fusion event will be one of the newer mixed fusion events where players will get fragments for epic grade champions required for fusing Sigmund the Highshield. These epic champions can be summoned when players collect 100 of their fragments. Players will then level up and ascend them to Level 50 and 5-Star to sacrifice them for summoning Sigmund the Highshield. Plarium will give ways to obtain the required champion fragments in the form of Events and Tournaments. This will be an in-depth guide on the various ways available for players to obtain fragments to complete this fusion.
Sigmund the Highshield is a legendary grade champion from the Banner Lords faction. He is a great support-type champion that does damage based on his defense. He is essentially a reliable buff stripper and shortener while also providing crazy good shields and buffs for his teammates. He brings an AOE attack down for 2 turns as well as Provoke for 2 turns with his 2nd skill Battlefield Beacon. Sigmund the Highshield possesses an extremely useful Aura that states that all ally’s defense will be increased by 40% in the Doom Tower. We all know how hard Doom Tower is and how it’s being harder with the addition of new bosses and mechanics in every rotation. Sigmund the Highshield is a great champion for both beginners and veterans. We will talk more about his skill kit and use it in the next segment.
During this Fusion event, Plarium provides Fragments for the champion in multiple Events and Tournaments.
Keep in mind that these events and tournaments will take a lot of your time if you’re going to manually play the game since Plarium only provides 30 instances of Auto-Battles per day. But don’t worry, you can easily bypass the hard grinding by simply using BlueStacks macro recorder to record your runs and keep re-running it.
Sigmund the Highshield Champion Skills
Sigmund the Highshield is a Defense type legendary grade magic affinity champion from the Banner Lords faction. Being a Legendary Tier champion, his base stats are nothing to be laughed at, with a solid Defense of 533 and HP of 8280. His skill kit is nothing to be taken lightly about as well as he brings with him very good supportive skills. We can’t be sure how his damage multipliers work as the champion is not yet playable for us but we can confirm this champion will be a great asset as a support champion, especially in the Doom Tower. We are talking about the Doom Tower here, because of his Aura which states that all allies get 40% increased Defense when deployed in the Doom Tower. His 1st skill Fairer Fight is a single target damaging skill that has a 100% chance to remove any Shield buffs as well as a 50% chance to remove an extra buff. This chance increases to 75% when used against bosses.
The damage of this skill scaled with his Defense. His 2nd skill Battlefield Beacon is an AOE damaging skill that targets all champions where he attacks them 2 times with each hit having a 50% chance of inflicting a Provoke debuff for 1 turn and a 75% chance to inflict a Decreased Attack debuff for 2 turns. This skill’s damage also scales with his Defense. His 3rd skill Shield of the Realm is a great supportive skill that states that all allies get a Shield buff equal to Sigmund’s 30% MAX HP for 2 turns as well as a 25% Strengthen buff for 2 turns. Sigmund’s passive Equitable makes him a great anti-buffer as it states that when he is attacked, he has a 20% chance to decrease the duration of all buffs on the attacks by 1 turn. This passive chance increases to 40% when he is attacked by a Boss.
Here is a list of his skills in detail: –
Fairer Fight [ATK]
Attacks 1 enemy. Removes any [Shield] buffs. Also has a 50% chance of removing one random
buff. Has a 75% chance instead when attacking Bosses.
Battlefield Beacon [ATK]
Attacks all enemies 2 times. Each hit has a 50% chance of placing a [Provoke] debuff for 1
turn, and a 75% chance of placing a 50% [Decrease ATK] debuff for 2 turns.
Shield of the Realm [ATK]
Places a [Shield] buff on all allies for 2 turns equal to 30% of this Champion’s MAX HP. Also
places a 25% [Strengthen] buff on all allies for 2 turns.
Equitable (Passive)
Whenever this Champion is attacked, has a 20% chance of decreasing the duration of all buffs
on the attacker by 1 turn. Has a 40% chance instead when attacked by a Boss.
Sigmund the Highshield Fusion Event Guide
Sigmund the Highshield is the newest legendary champion available for fusion. This is a mixed fusion event just like we had with Underpriest Brogni where players have to get fragments for Epic grade champions through the events and tournaments. Players then have to level them and ascend them to Level 50 and 5-Stars to fuse Sigmund the Highshield. In this way, this fusion event takes a lot of resources as it mixes the elements of both – fragment fusion as well as traditional fusion. It is complicated; however, we will give a detailed guide on how to manage your resources to obtain Sigmund the Highshield.
We will now list the various events and tournaments through which you will be able to obtain fragments of the needed Epic Champions. The list of the needed Epic champions is: –
- Duhr the Hungerer (Spirit Affinity epic champion from the Demonspawn faction)
- Thylessia (Force Affinity epic champion from the Knights Revenant Faction)
- Scabrius (Magic Affinity epic champion from the Skinwalkers faction)
- Demytha (Void Affinity epic champion from the Dwarves faction)
Here is the list of the events and tournaments: –
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1 (30th September – 5th October)
- Spider Tournament (30th September – 3rd October)
- Champion Chase Tournament (1st – 4th October)
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1 (1st – 4th October)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1 (2nd – 5th October)
- Dragon Tournament (3rd – 7th October)
- Champion Training Tournament Part 1 (3rd – 7th October)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2 (6th – 10th October)
- Fire Knight Tournament (7th – 10th October)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2 (7th – 10th October)
- Summon Rush Event (8th – 11th October)
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2 (9th – 12th October)
- Ice Golem Tournament (10th – 13th October)
- Champion Training Event Part 1 (11th – 15th October)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 3 (12th – 15th October)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3 (13th – 16th October)
Preparation for these Events and Tournaments
As we can see from the timings of these Events and Tournaments presented by Plarium that many of these collide with each other. If you are confused by what some of the terms mean or where some of the locations of the dungeons and events are, here is a helpful guide. Now doing every event and tournament 1 by 1 will drain your resources very quickly, and you will be left with insufficient fragments to fuse the epic champions. You might need to spend gems to refill energy for completing the remaining events and tournaments.
This is where efficient planning and using your resources judiciously comes in. Energy and Silver will be your 2 biggest resources, and if you have enough of these saved up, things will go more smoothly for you. But if you don’t have them stored don’t fret, we are here for you! Take a look at our preparation process for Sigmund the Highshield Mixed Fusion here: –
30th September – 16th October –
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1: 20 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at 1300), 20 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at 2250 Points), 20 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at 3400 Points)
- Spider Tournament: 20 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at 1800 Points)
These 2 events and tournaments, luckily are very easy and can be completed at the same time by just farming the Spiders dungeon. The point requirement for the Dungeon Divers is a bit higher so you can farm the campaign mode or any other dungeon to complete the rest of the event. Farm the highest possible stage in Spiders Den as you can and you will be easily able to complete both for all the fragments.
- Champion Chase Tournament: 20 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at 1150 Points), 25 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at 2500 Points)
Champion Chase tournaments are all about the quality of champions summoned as opposed to the quality of shards used as is seen in Summon Rush events. This gives players both an advantage and disadvantage that their fate lies in the hand of fate or as we call it in gacha games – RNG. Some players might complete the event in a single 10 pull and get all epics and legendaries while others might take tons of shards to complete the event at 2500 points to get the fragments for both Thylessia and Demytha. Keep in mind we are not counting the extra fragments you might get if you are first in your local leader boards as that’s not possible for every player. As such, these tournaments can put a big hole in your pocket of shards and we always recommend skipping them if you are sure you can complete the upcoming Summon Rush event.
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1: 15 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at 330 Points)
Classic Arena Takedown asks players to win Arena battles regularly to collect points for the tournament. The acquisition of these points is different for different players in the different tiers of the Arena. Hence, a bronze-tier player might get different goals other than 330 to adjust for his difficulty of getting them. Completing this tournament is a necessity for fusing Thylessia for free-to-play players. Use all your Arena refreshes and tokens regularly. Get the arena tokens to refill from the daily playtime rewards and quests. Win the battles you play and do not take risks as you only get points for winning the Arena battles.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1: 20 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at 2625 Points)
This event is again very straightforward but can drain a lot of your silver reserves. If you were not prepared, then you might have to spend your precious energy to farm silver coins for upgrading your equipment. Here are a few tips to achieve those 2625 points: –
- You can pre-roll your artifacts till Lvl 7/11/15 and then simply spend silver to upgrade to the next level as you get points only after upgrading artifacts to LVL 4,8,12 and 16 with the highest points being given at 6-star LVL 16 artifact upgrades.
- You can level up 3 6-Star artifacts to level 16 to easily complete this event in a go
- Save up to roughly 6 million silver per artifact enhancement even, as this amount is roughly what it takes to complete these events.
However, if you have enough silver or artifacts upgraded to a certain level, then feel free to use it to complete this event. It also takes a lot of time because the general upgrading speed for artifacts is very slow, and it fails many times as well. However, if you use BlueStacks Eco mode(), you can significantly speed up this process and save so much time!
- Dragon Tournament: 15 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at 2250 Points)
This tournament asks you to spend energy and farm the Dragons Den dungeon multiple times. 2250 Points means roughly 140 runs of Dragon’s Den stage 20. This should cost you around 2300 energy which is achievable through daily energy refreshes and advance quest gifts. Make sure to farm this on the 6th of October of this tournament as Dungeon Divers Part 2 will be starting on that day as well so you can get points for both the tournaments and events.
- Champion Training Tournament Part 1: 20 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at 3050 Points), 25 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at 5150 Points)
For champion training tournaments, make sure to have lots of resources like potions, fodder for ranking up champions as well as energy/brews for leveling up champions. This event is extremely grindy and can take a lot of time if you were not prepared beforehand. Champion Training tournament can be completed by farming the campaign mode! It will also help you in completing the Dungeon diver’s event which will be opening the next day. Champion leveling, promotion, and ascension all count towards points for the champion training tournament. If you have some brews saved up, this is the perfect time to use them to level up your champions. We recommend to farm food and 6-Star some of the champions that you have been wanting to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Also, remember to level up the chickens with brews for extra points before using them for promoting champions.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2: 25 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points), 15 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
This Dungeon Divers part 2 event is going to be starting at a time when the Dragon tournament is already in effect and full swing. We recommend players to take advantage of this and farm Dragon’s dungeon for getting points for both the event and tournament. The requirement of this event is still unknown but we can expect around 5000+ points for the last reward of 15 Thylessia champion fragments. Use your energy judiciously and refill whenever needed.
- Fire Knight Tournament: 15 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Players can farm Fire Knights dungeon at the highest stage possible for points in both the event and tournament as Fire Knight counts as a dungeon. We do not know the milestone yet as the tournament exists in the future as of writing but comparing it to the previous one’s this one should be around 2000-2200 points requirement for the 15 Demytha fragments. This is easily achievable through the daily energy recharged and refills as well as the energy saved by farming for both the Dungeon Divers event as well as the Fire Knight tournament.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2: 20 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Summon Rush Event: 25 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points), 25 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Artifact Enhancement Events are just another name for upgrading your gear event. We already listed some of the tips and tricks to complete this event efficiently by providing some helpful examples in the first iteration of this event. Overall, this will be a major silver coin check. Do not worry as you will have farmed enough silver coins during the rest of the missions like Dragon’s tournament, Fire Knights Tournament, etc to get more silver.
The Summon Rush event is very straightforward as well, the more you summon the more points you get. The quality of shards also hampers the number of points you get. The quality of champions, however, does not affect the number of points obtained in this event. Here are the points received depending on the shard: –
Mystery Shard: 1 Point
Ancient Shard: 20 Points
Void Shard: 100 Points
Sacred Shard: 500 Points
We do not know the future event but expect a 10x or double the chance event for some of the shards to line up with this Summon Rush event as it usually happens. They are usually the better of the 2 summoning events as if you have a good quality of shards saved up, there’s a high chance you can complete this event easily.
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2: 15 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Ice Golem Tournament: 20 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Classic Arena Takedowns are all about winning in the Arena mode as much as you can till you reach the desired requirement to get 15 Duhr the Hungerer Champion Fragments.
You can farm Ice Golem Stage 20 to get points for the tournament. The requirements are still unknown but if we look at the past requirements for points, it should be easily accessible at an estimate of 1800-2200 points.
- Champion Training Event Part 1: 20 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points), 20 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 3: 15 Scabrius Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points), 15 Demytha Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
This champion training tournament is seemingly not a high point requirement one as it contains fragments for only Scabrius and Demytha. We can still expect the point requirement to be high but not as high as was seen usually with the highest being 17000. This is also a very unforgiving tournament as if you miss the milestone, you will not be able to complete this fusion event as there won’t be enough fragments left to summon the Epic champions. Hence, you have to make sure to spend all your energy on the campaign to farm fodder. This is also where XP brews come in handy. Make sure to use all your brews to complete the event no matter what. Make sure to use your chickens and level them up by feeding brews for extra points. If push comes to shove, feel free to use gems for more energy to run the campaign even more.
Dungeon Divers Event Part 3 is the third iteration of the same event. Players can get points for both the event and the Ice Golem tournament by farming Stage 20 of Ice Golem Dungeon on the last day of the Ice Golem Tournament and the second day of the Dungeon Divers Event Part 3 – 12th October 2021. The point requirements are still unknown at the time of writing but it can be easily accessible given the energy saved by farming Ice Golem to get points for both the event and tournament.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3: 20 Thylessia Champion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Artifact Enhancement event part 3 is the third iteration of Artifact Enhancement events. Same advice here as well – Save Silver outside of these events and use them when these events come. It’s very straightforward but can get tricky if you are out of silver at these important times. This will also be the last event for the Sigmund fusion.
Fusing Sigmund the Highshield
After collecting all the fragments for the 4 Epic champions, players will still need to ascend and level them up to 5 stars level 50 for fusing Sigmund the Highshield. For this feat, the players will need the following potions and chickens:
- Greater Affinity Potions: 20 Force, 20 Spirit, 20 Void, 20 Magic
- Superior Affinity Potions: 6 Force, 6 Spirit, 6 Void, 6 Magic
- 60 Greater Arcane Potions
- 12 Superior Arcane Potions
- 16 x 4-Star Chickens
For leveling up, we recommend farming 8-3 brutal stages repeatedly or use your brews to level them.
