In this beginner’s guide for Seven Knights: Idle Adventure, we will be explaining all of the areas of the game that are crucial for a new player to understand. We will try to use layman terms and language while explaining these areas instead of complicating them. Majority of the basics are quite easy to understand and could be skipped by veterans of the genre.
Gameplay Mechanics + Combat System Explained
A new player starting their adventure in Seven Knights: Idle Adventure might be curious as to what the gameplay is all about, especially because the game itself does not advertise much on bases of combat. Firstly, let’s get it clear that Seven Knights: Idle Adventure is an Idle game that makes use of real-time automated combat, where the player little to no control over their own characters. This is done to make the combat simpler and more casual friendly instead of being hands-on and hardcore.
You will be required to form a formation of 5 different and unique heroes from your roster in order to participate in battles. In the early stages of the game, this roster can be shrunk down to 2-3 heroes, depending on how many summons you have made. The formations are the strategic part of the game, as you should place heroes according to the role they are assigned. For example, Defender heroes should be placed in the front to tank and soak damage while Ranged one’s should be placed in the back to dish out as much damage as they can and maximize your DPS output. You can also make use of the handy “Auto” feature that will use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to make the best formation out of all the available heroes in your roster.
Each hero has their own set of abilities that they will use when the ability is not on cooldown. You do not need to actually manually control them as they will move according to the AI’s whims.
All Currencies Explained
In Seven Knights: Idle Adventure, there are 2 major currencies that every player should know about:
Rubies: These are the premium currencies and they are further divided into 2 parts – Free Rubies and Paid Rubies. Free Rubies are the ones all players can get by completing in-game missions and participating in in-game events. They are also given by the developers in the form of redeem codes or maintenance rewards. On the other hand, Paid Rubies are those Rubies which are acquired only via doing any microtransactions in the game. Rubies are majorly used for performing your summons or for purchasing outfits for characters.
Gold: Gold is the major currency that will be available in abundance for all players. This is simply due to the fact that it is required in large quantities in the majority of the areas. For example, it is used in the Gold Shop, to upgrade your heroes, and to upgrade your equipment. It is also used for menial tasks in the game. Gold is majorly acquired by completing daily missions, weekly missions, guide missions, in-game events, activities, and much more.
All Ways to Power-Up Your Heroes
Seven Knights: Idle Adventure is a gacha game at its core, which requires you to summon different rarities of heroes from the innate summoning system. Naturally, being a Role-Playing Game (RPG), you can further enhance the heroes to increase their strength and base stats. Here are some of the core ways you can enhance your heroes:
Levelling Up: Levelling up heroes is going to be the primary and most basic way to increase the base stats of your heroes. The tutorial does a good job at explaining this section. Basically, you will require a material known as “Hero EXP” to feed to your heroes which will in turn increase their level. Naturally, as the level increases, so does the amount of Hero EXP required to further increase their level.
Advancement: Advancement is the process by which you can increase the base rarity of the hero. You will require a special currency known as “Hero Cards” in order to advance the selected hero to the next rarity. These rarities are denoted by the amount of stars they have. Once advanced to the next star value, the hero will have higher base stats.
