Tip #1. The Afflatus of Characters Matters 

Just like in any strategic turn-based RPG, a host of tactical combat elements are also present in Reverse: 1999. One such important one that players often forget is the Afflatus system. The game is home to 6 Afflatus (Beast, Plant, Star, Mineral, Spirit, Intellect). Consider them like elements/types in other games, where each one is stronger/weaker towards another. Here’s how they work:

Beast Afflatus – Beast afflatus is stronger against Plant Afflatus but weaker against Mineral Afflatus.

Plant Afflatus – Plant afflatus is stronger against Star Afflatus but weaker against Beast Afflatus.

Star Afflatus – Star afflatus is stronger against Mineral Afflatus but weaker against Plant Afflatus.

Some high-level Tuning skills allow you to combine cards to get a stronger skill without consuming a Moxie. 

Tip #3. Character Placement in Team Formation

As a new player of Reverse: 1999, you might know about the fact that character placement matters quite a lot when it comes to skill card merging and obtaining. Although the game says cards are spawning at random, the characters placed on the left have a statistically higher chance to be obtained. You can then choose to merge them together or get lucky with the merger themselves. Daily Missions in Reverse: 1999 are going to be the bread and butter for many new players and end-game players alike.
