Rise of Kingdoms 2020 Spring Event: All You Need to Know
In early March, we wrote about the Spring update for Rise of Kingdoms and all that it had to offer for the loyal players who enjoy this awesome war game. Among the most significant changes was the adjustments to how AoE damage worked in combat. However, aside from the wide slew of novelties and changes, developer Lilith Games also teased the upcoming events to commemorate the Spring season, which would go live sometime after the update itself was implemented.
This past Friday, we finally got to see what this event was all about and, in true Rise of Kingdoms fashion, they consist of several tasks through which you will be able to unlock unique and limited prizes. Now that we have actual access to the Spring events in Rise of Kingdoms, we decided to write this guide where you will find everything you need to know in order to reap all the rewards that it offers.
If you’re looking to score those sweet, sweet event rewards, then you’ll want to read what we’ve prepared for you.
Farewell, Winter!
The very first event in the Spring update for Rise of Kingdoms is Farewell, Winter! This 5-day event consists of several stages, with one of them unveiled every day, and with tasks that reward the player for reaching certain milestones. These daily tasks are divided into three main categories and consist of activities that, in most cases, you’d do on a regular basis, regardless of this event.
So, for example, day 1 of the event is divided into “Daily Business,” “Field Collection,” and “Academic Elite.” The first consists of simply logging in every day for the total duration of the event. Meanwhile, the second category consists of gathering resources from the map a certain number of times, while also collecting a number of resources in total. Lastly, the third category consists of developing technical power by researching tech in your Academy.
For every milestone you reach in every category of the Farewell, Winter! event in Rise of Kingdoms, you can claim different prizes, though they consist mostly of resource packs, tomes of knowledge, timer speedups, and other boosts. However, the most important reward for completing these tasks is the “Branch” item, which is a special seasonal currency that can be exchanged for many different prizes in other parts of the Spring event.
This leads us to our next point.
Branching Out
When it comes to seasonal events in Rise of Kingdoms, the dev team follows a specific pattern. On the one hand, there are two parts of the event that consist of completing specific tasks to receive different and useful rewards. These two parts, in turn, also grant special seasonal currency that can be exchanged elsewhere for awesome rewards. In the case of the 2020 Spring event for Rise of Kingdom, this special currency is the aforementioned Branches. However, while, in the past, you usually required combining this currency with something else to receive rewards, you only need the Branches this time around.
The part of the event where you exchange your currency for prizes in the Branching Out category. Here, you must exchange your collected Branches to climb up in the tiers of this challenge. For every level you reach, you will receive the corresponding rewards for the current tier. However, as opposed to other parts of the Spring event, the rewards for this particular category are wildly varied, giving things like sculptures, speedups, emojis, resource chests, gems, and teleports, among many others.
The most important reward of this part of the event, without a doubt, is the permanent city skin, Timbered Ensemble, which is unlocked at tier 17. Unfortunately, since the cost in Branches for leveling up increases with every tier, you’ll need quite a lot of the seasonal currency, so you better get to work!
Players participating in the 2020 Spring event in Rise of Kingdoms have until April 3rd to trade in their branches and receive prizes in the Branching Out category.
Willows and Flowers
The last part of the Spring event is pretty straightforward. This one consists of doing three standard activities like gathering resources, both from your town as well as from the world map, and defeating Barbarians. However, aside from the standard rewards that you usually receive as a result, such as resources, speedups, and tomes of knowledge, you have a chance of obtaining special Spring Boxes. Inside these boxes, you can find various prizes, including the very important currency, Branches.
In this sense, while Willows and Flowers is a good way to score extra rewards from doing regular tasks, you can also receive special seasonal currency for use in the Branching Out category.
Like many other seasonal events in Rise of Kingdoms, the Spring challenges for this awesome war game gives everyone the opportunity to earn great prizes, including a permanent skin for their cities. However, in order to reap the most rewards, you’ll have to be diligent in completing your tasks. Despite most of the activities in this event consisting of things you’ll be doing regularly, anyway, you’ll need to manually claim your rewards and, in the case of Branching Out, turn in your Branches to climb the tiers.
